Michael ausiello has more to say about the upcoming new season of CSI: Vegas. We already found out that Jorja Fox will be back for multiple episodes in season 10, but what about William Petersen, who played Grissom?

And check out the news about a new serial killer! We’ll also be finding out more about Langston’s past. The more I hear about the new season, the more excited I become!

Question: Will Grissom be joining Sara back on CSI early in the season? –Lois
Ausiello: No, but some old friends of his will be. Exec producer Carol Mendelsohn reveals to me exclusively that CSI will be bringing back a few members of the infamous Millander clan in this season’s second episode. “The last time we saw [serial killer] Paul Millander was in season 2 when Grissom had dinner at [his alter ego] Judge Mason’s house, because, if you remember Paul lived a double life as a judge. And we met Mrs. Mason and their young son, Craig. Well, Paul’s dead, but Mrs. Mason and Craig live on. And we will see them in episode 2.” Why? Keep reading for a possible clue…

Question: The season premiere of CSI is only two months away. I’m sure that you’ve gotten some kind of spoiler or tidbit to throw to us! –Andy and Rebecca
Ausiello: You can drop the “or.” I’ve got a spoiler and a tidbit, courtesy of exec producer Naren Shankar. First the tidbit: “You’re going to get an explanation for that ring Langston (Laurence Fishburne) still has on his finger in [episode 2].” Now for the spoiler: “We’re going to launch a new season-long serial killer arc. Starting at the end of our premiere, a brand new nemesis [will emerge] who has a very unique way of killing.” More unique than that whole miniature thing? “This time, the crime scene is always the body,” Shankar teases. “We’re calling him Dr. Jekyl.” [Source: EW]

That’s right! According to TV Guide, there’s a CSI movie in the works! And even better news is that William Petersen will return to play Gil Grissom in it. Here’s a quote from William about the movie:

“Yes, there will be a movie,” Petersen told Britain’s Radio Times. Although he is sure fans might be “a little trepidatious,” Petersen promises the move to the big screen will not be done haphazardly.

“Usually people leave it till a series has finished —they did that with The X-Files and Sex and the City,” Petersen said. “But it’s about finding the right story, there has got to be a real reason to do it.”

“You don’t just do it because you want to make money — you do it because there’s a story that can’t be told on TV and needs to be told from CSI’s perspective and the audience wants it,” Petersen said. “And we can’t wait for CSI to end or Grissom will be about 90.”

So there you have it, Grissom fans and CSI: Vegas fans! This is truly cause for celebration!

I think it’s cool that he seems to have stopped coloring his hair as I’m sure he was told to do for the character. He looks terrific no matter what. But I’m sure he’s having fun now that the long production days are behind him. I’m happy for him, even though I miss him on the show.

And nearly all of his fellow CSI: Vegas co-stars were there to celebrate the occasion with him. I don’t see Lauren Lee Smith, Wallace Langham, Paul Guilfoyle or Gary Dourdan, But Robert David Hall, David Berman, Liz Vassey, George Eads, Jorja Fox, Eric Szmanda, Marg Helgenberger and Archie Kao all were there.

Here’s a sneak peek at one of the touching scenes from tonight’s episode of CSI: Vegas. If this is any indication of how emotional it’s going to be, get the tissues ready!

In this scene, Grissom explains a bit to Nick about forensic astronomy (very cool concept!) and then Nick tells him how he values all the things he’s learned from Grissom. It’s a great scene where they both seem to get emotional, but just like macho guys often do, they try to pretend it doesn’t.

Tomorrow night President Bush will be making his farewell speech at 8/7c on all the networks. Because of that, if you plan to record the two episodes of CSI: Vegas, be sure to allow a lot of extra time at the end.

The networks have been told the speech will only last 15 minutes, but these things often run even later than expected. I know we won’t want to miss the end of Grissom’s last episode…so be sure to record with that in mind!!!
