I know that fans of CSI: NY are waiting to find out what’s ahead for the lovely newlyweds on the show. Lindsay & Danny (Anna Belknap & Carmine Giovinazzo) just got married, then Lindsay took off for Montana and when she gets back, she has their baby. That’s a lot of stuff to happen to two very busy crime investigators in such a short time!! Anyone who has been through that much all at once can tell you that it’s not easy!!

So the question becomes, how will their relationship fare, in light of all the stress they’ve been under. Will the characters have marital problems? Will they have a very solid and happy marriage? Here’s a bit of a spoiler to tease us about it:

We know that on CSI: NY, Lindsay left New York to go spend time with her family in Montana before her baby is born. In real life, Anna Belknap left show production to give birth to her own baby.

Michael Ausiello over at EW Online gives us the scoop about when we’ll see Lindsay back on the show. Poor thing! She has to go through yet another labor & delivery…only this time it’s just for the character.

Ausiello: She’s back in the Big Apple on April 29, but we won’t actually see her until May 6 when Anna Belknap officially returns from maternity leave and promptly delivers another baby. “Lindsay pops right back into work and, before you know it, she’s in labor,” exec producer Pam Veasey says with a laugh. “You see her for a second and her water breaks. We couldn’t do anything else but bring her back and let her give birth.” Danny, of course, is at Lindsay’s side for the main event and, like any new parents, “they’re overwhelmed by it,” says Veasey. You know what they say about the best laid plans…

For whatever reason, the Danny / Lindsay romance will be moving forward on CSI: NY a bit later than we had expected. Of course, we did notice that it didn’t happen before Valentine’s Day, as we had been told. But the good news is that it still is going to happen. See what TV Guide has to say about it:

You told CSI: NY fans that Danny and Lindsay would get an early Valentine’s Day present. Well, the Feb. 11 episode had nothing about them in it. What happened? — Melissa

MegaBuzz: Wait, you didn’t think the human trafficking episode was romantic? But seriously, Melissa: No one was more disappointed than me. Though an executive producer initially said the show in question would air before Valentine’s Day, things changed, as they tend to do in relationships and television schedules. I’m told that what was going to happen between Danny and Lindsay last week will now happen on March 11. Save the date.
