CSI: Miami star Adam Rodriguez made a guest appearance this week on the Wendy Williams talk show. He was there to talk about his role on the show Ugly Betty. I have to admit to never having seen that show. I love Adam, but even he isn’t enough to make me watch that one. Sorry. It just looks dumb

CSI Stars & Director Get NAACP Image Award Nominations

Today, the nominations for the 41st NAACP Image Awards were announced and the CSI series all had notable nominations to boast.
The awards celebrate outstanding work by people of color in a number of different entertainment categories. We won’t know the winners until the show airs on FOX on Friday February 6, 2010. I’ll let you know more as the air date approaches.
CSI: Miami actor Adam Rodriguez, CSI: Vegas actor Laurence Fishburne and CSI: NY actor Hill Harper were among the nominations this year. One of the wonderful CSI: Vegas directors, Paris Barclay was honored with a nomination too.

CSI: Vegas Fans! Be Sure to Watch Tomorrow’s People’s Choice Awards!

Tomorrow night, CBS airs the People’s Choice Awards. Once again, the show will be hosted by the lovely Queen Latifah and should be a fun show, just in general. But even more importantly, we have to watch to see if CSI: Vegas wins for Favorite TV Drama!

CSI: Vegas Gets People’s Choice Nomination!

The nominations for this year’s People’s Choice Awards were announced today and the CSI mothership, CSI: Vegas was given a nomination for the Favorite TV Drama category. That’s impressive, since it’s 10 years old. Usually, the newer series get the nod. Here’s the entire list of nominations in the category:

There’s a category for the Best Breakout Performance of the year in this year’s Emmy Awards and the scene where CSI: Vegas’ Warrick Brown tragically dies is one of the nominations.
TV.com & Vaseline are going to give a special Breakout Performance Award at this year’s Emmy Awards Show. We get to vote for our favorite breakout moment on TV this year and the winning moment will win the Breakout Award during the Emmys on Sunday, September 20 at 8 pm ET.

I know. I hadn’t ever heard of an EWwy Award either. But it’s a new one given by Entertainment Weekly, thus the EWwy. They know that many of us feel that our favorite actors have done amazing work on their shows for many years, but have never been given an Emmy. They fell it’s time to acknowledge them with an EWwy instead.

CSI Franchise Gets Several Emmy Nominations

With all the success of the three CSI series, it’s amazing that none of the shows or their main characters have gotten Emmy Awards. What’s up with that?
The good news is that some of the fantastic folks behind the scenes are nominated for Emmys this year, including the makeup for that episode of CSI: Vegas that did a trbute to Battlestar Gallactica, A Space Oddity. CSI: NY guest star Ed Asner is also nominated for his performance in Yarzeit, the episode about Nazi war criminals.

CSI: Miami & CSI: Vegas to Compete in Monaco

According to Variety, the annual Monte Carlo TV Festival begins on Sunday in Monaco. And just like in years past, two fo the CSI series will compete for the title of most-watched TV drama, worldwide.

This year, CSI: Vegas, CSI: Miami & House MD will go head to head for the title. The nominations were chosen by the Producers’ Guld of America and one of them will bring home the title this year. I’ll keep you posted.

It’s official, folks. CSI: NY’s Hill Harper is super-intelligent, totally handsome and he’s a great actor too. And those are just the kind of things that won him his second NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series. Here’s the list of all the nominees in the category:
