CSI: Vegas - TV Guide Article
CSI: Vegas was featured in an article in TV Guide recently. It goes into the relationship between Gil Grissom & Lady Heather and also a bit about his relationship with Sara Sidle. There’s some speculation about what may happen between Grissom and Lady Heather in the vulnerable emotional state he’s in at the moment.
It’s a very cool article. Be sure to go read it. I don’t have permission to publish the scan, but you can go to SpoilerTV to see it.

CSI: Magazine Issue 4 Issues Forth for a Long Summer
June 8, 2008 by Jonathan
Last week, I was re-reading some of the articles in Issue 4 of The Official CSI Magazine. Since this is technically the June/July issue, it’s interesting to read some of the articles, especially the interview with Gary Dourdan. Reading what he said about Warrick, now that the character’s life sits in the heavily unbalanced balance, was almost eery.
In the beginning of June, especially after such a challenging round of season finales, Autumn feels like a long way off for CSI fans. So, if you haven’t read the issue, you should check it out at your local newsstand. In fact, you can get a great deal on subscriptions at the CSI Magazine website. They rotate the emphasis of each issue between the three shows, and this issue is dedicated to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Interesting Contents
- Gary Dourdan talks about Warrick and his struggle with demons, and as a Las Vegas native.
- A fascinating interview and writeup on Wallace Langham, who plays the overly brilliant, yet underly socially skilled Hodges.
- Girl, Interrupted is wonderful coverage on Sara Sidle, and the real-life Jorja Fox. Jorja is in demand, and everyone wants to know what she’s up to, since she left the show.
- Chief Medical Examiner Robbins (AKA Robert David Hall) talks about the “gross” anatomy involved in the original CSI.
- Writer Jen Anstruther takes a CSI for a Day adventure class. Her day spent learning how to find fingerprints, and collect other crime scene data, is a fascinating read. I must find one of these classes near home.
So, if you’re trying to figure out how to spend your summer vacation, you can always spend an afternoon chewing through Issue 4. Check it out.
Has anyone taken one of those “CSI for a Day” classes/seminars? What was it like?
CSI Cliff Hangers: Many Questions and Some Answers
May 31, 2008 by Jonathan
The season finales for all three CSI series really left us hanging. Vegas left Warrick in his car, in the alley, and Undersheriff McKeen walking away. Miami left Horatio lying on an airport apron. His ex, his son, and Ryan all remain some distance away, perhaps, but all possibly, suspiciously linked to Horatio’s situation. Then, CSI: New York has Mac driving in a car with “Joe”, the apparent mastermind of some, as of yet, confusingly complicated crime.
No one’s talking much, yet, but some of the creative staff of the three shows spoke with TV Guide for this week’s issue. Lynn talked about Warrick, in a previous post.

Emily Procter is featured in the April issue’s B,L,D section of Every Day with Rachael Ray, on newsstands March 18th! Find out what Emily eats to get through the day. The CSI: Miami star’s days are packed with crime-fighting…and plenty of protein.

Emily gets up every morning at 4:45 AM! For breakfast, she eats three scrambled eggs with jalapeños, mushrooms and onions. Actually, that sounds pretty good to me! Excuse me while I go scramble a couple of eggs with jalapeños…

Adam Rodriguez Featured in Estylo Magazine
Estylo Magazine published a feature about CSI: Miami’s Adam Rodriguez. Here’s an excerpt:
Now in his sixth season as police department crime scene investigator Eric Delko on CSI: Miami, Adam Rodriguez is living the good life in Los Angeles, but the days when he struggled to make a buck are still very vivid in his memory. “I was a bellman at a hotel, I did construction, I delivered pizza and fried chicken,” he recalls. “The worst by far was cleaning toilets at Penn Station. The money was like $16 an hour, great at the time, but I did it one day and I quit.”
Rodriguez was on an uncertain career path, having ruled out several careers by choice or force. A high school athlete, he suffered a back injury that nixed his notion of baseball stardom. A career in the air force was crossed off the list by bad eyesight. Interested in business, he became a stockbroker trainee for a while, but realized it wasn’t what he wanted to do with his life.
He had taken some acting classes in high school, just for something to do, and rediscovered theater in community college. He kept working odd jobs to pay for acting classes until a lucky break in 1996—a one-line role as a cop on NYPD Blue, thanks to his father’s old military buddy who became a producer on the show. That led to a regular role—a cop again—on the series Brooklyn South, followed by Felicity, Resurrection Blvd., and Roswell. Rodriguez also had a featured part in Jennifer Lopez’s video for “If You Had My Love.” He was tapped to co-star after the two met at a party.
