Emily Procter Talked Candidly About CSI: Miami
June 21, 2009 by Lynn
Last week, when Emily Procter was in Monaco for the Monte Carlo TV Festival, she sat down to talk candidly with the press and the audience about CSI: Miami and where she thinks her character might go in the future.
What’s interesting is the fact that she wants her character, Calleigh, to start to deal with the fact that her father is an alcoholic. She says that she also wants to get to jump out of a building. Solving crimes is still very much a part of the show’s focus, but after seven seasons, it could be very good to see more depth in some of the regular characters.
In season 8, because of budget constraints, the show won’t be doing any on location shooting in Miami. She says they will also spend more time in the lab this season too. There’s also some talk of what she hopes to do in her career after CSI: Miami ends. It’s a very interesting clip.
Jonathan Togo on Hollywood 411
April 1, 2009 by Lynn
CSI: Miami’s star Jonathan Togo who plays Ryan Wolfe was on Hollywood 411 and talked to Madison Michele about next week’s episode of the show. As you recall, last week’s episode showed us that Wolfe has been kidnapped by the Russian mob and is being tortured. I know you’re as eager to find out what happens to him as I am!!
In the mean time, Jonathan tells us that one of the team will go over to the “dark side” and start acting as a criminal…but for all the right reasons. He also gives us some reminders about Wolfe’s background as a gambling addict and tells us how that will play a part in the way the episode plays out. Jonathan’s fans will also be thrilled that he gives us the scoop about how he came to get on the show, way back in season 2. It’s a great clip!
CSI: NY’s A.J. Buckley Talks About the Finale and Who Might Be Killed

My contact at TV Guide just sent the tip about this interview that A.J. Buckley, aka Adam the lab rat on CSI: NY, did with them. If you’re like me, you are on pins and nedles, waiting to find out which of the CSI: NY characters will be killed off in the season finale that’s coming up. Thank goodness they asked him about it, or I might have been upset.
But surprisingly, he says that the cast is still completely in the dark about who it’s going to be. They won’t even find out their own fate until the scripts for the finale are handed out. (And you know I’ll be snooping everywhere for info about it and will share it as soon as there is any…)
A.J. also talked about his character’s development and about a potential romantic chemistry between Adam and Stella! Here’s an excerpt from the interview:
TVGuide.com: Thank goodness for Adam Ross’ street hockey hobby. It sure put him in the right place at the right time a few weeks ago.
A.J. Buckley: Isn’t it crazy how that happens? It felt great just to get out of the lab, but then to also get such great material to work with, and the explosion, and doing my own stunt…. I’ve really been excited with where they’ve taken Adam this year. They’re sort of peeling the layers back.TVGuide.com: Will we learn more about Adam this season?
Buckley: Honestly, every time I read a script, he gets a bit more defined. He’s coming into his own. He’s going from being that nervous, wide-eyed guy to asserting him as an actual CSI team member.TVGuide.com: [CSI: NY exec producer] Peter Lenkov recently told us that you and Melina Kanakaredes (Stella) “play nice together.”
Buckley: We do. Melina is always fun to work with. They keep writing this thing where there is, like, a tension between us, and I guess it all started with some look I once shot at her. I’m like, “OK, I’ll take it!”TVGuide.com: A couple of fans seem to want an Adam-Stella hook-up.
Buckley: Adam needs some love. He had a girl at the beginning of Season 4, and now…. He works too hard, and he needs some feminine attention.TVGuide.com: Does Adam have a take on the Danny-Lindsay baby situation?
Buckley: Adam’s sort of childlike anyway about anything, so he’s very excited — and probably nervous for them, as well.TVGuide.com: Might Adam be made an honorary godfather?
Buckley: I am not, but there is an honorary. I can’t tell you who, though!
[Lynn: My money's on Mac...]TVGuide.com: Speaking of things you can’t talk about, let’s discuss the season-finale death that reportedly will “forever change” CSI: NY….
Buckley: Literally, when I found out that something was going down, I didn’t sleep that night. The god’s honest truth is that none of us know [who is being killed off]. We have no idea.TVGuide.com: You’re saying that at this moment [March 20], nobody on the cast knows who’s dying?
Buckley: Not one person. We have all been buzzing on the set, “Who is getting killed?” It’s created so much anxiety! It could be any one of us. I’m terrified to open up the [season finale] script when we get it in a couple weeks. This is such a family, it will be devastating to see anybody go. No joke, I will cry, I’ll be so bummed.
Megalyn Echikunwoke Interview
January 7, 2009 by Lynn
Here’s a new interview where Megalyn Echikunwoke talked to the folks at TV Water Cooler about how she researched to play CSI: Miami’s new coroner. I thought it was a bit disturbing to find out that the LA County coroner’s office has a gift shop…EEWWW! But the interview is good. She tells us that she’s disappointed that she won’t have any scenes with Diddy when he guest stars on the show later this season, but she does a fantastic impression of David Caruso:
Laurence Fishburne Talks About Joining CSI: Vegas
In the upcoming episode of CSI: Vegas, 19 Down, Laurence Fishburne will join the cast. We have been given scraps of information about the character, but here’s one of the first real looks at how Fishburne will come to be a part of the team and a glimpse at what his character will be like. William Petersen also talks about Laurence Fishburne joining the cast. Check it out:
Lauren Lee Smith Talks About Her New CSI Role
Now that we’ve had a chance to see Lauren Lee Smith in action as CSI Riley Adams, we know that she brings a new dynamic to an already established team. She comes to the cast as a fresh face and a whole new, quirky character. Some people say that they don’t like the character, and a lot of us do. But no matter which side of the issue we fall on, I think this interview with Lauren Lee Smith might offer a bit more insight into the character and what she is intended to do as part of the show.
Megalyn Echikunwoke Interview
November 16, 2008 by Lynn
Matt Mitovich from TV Guide did this video interview with the newest CSI: Miami cast member, Megalyn Echikunwoke. She says that her character may be a romantic foil for Delko and Calleigh’s relationship.
CSI: Vegas’ Robert David Hall on Hollywood 411
November 11, 2008 by Lynn
Fans of Robert David Hall know that he is the level headed, sometimes droll coroner on CSI: Vegas. He does only a few interviews usually, but I was thrilled to chance across this appearance recently on TV Guide’s Hollywood 411. He talks to Chris Harrison about what he thinks make CSI: Vegas so special and about the many cast changes for the series this season. And he’s releasing a CD of his own songs! He even oges on to talk about his involvement in the Barack Obama disability policy commitee. He’s a very cool guy!
AJ Buckley Talked to Hollywood 411
October 5, 2008 by Lynn
Recently, CSI: NY’s AJ Buckley sat down to talk to Madison Michelle from Hollywood 411. They chatted about his childhood dyslexia and he practiced a few of his big scientific CSI words for her and discusses his appreciation for great roles.
William Petersen & Marg Helgenberger Talk About the Show
Sadly, we all know that William Petersen, aka Gil Grissom, will be leaving CSI: Vegas, sometime around episode 10 of this season. I know most of you are as disappointed as I am to see him go, since he’s one of the main reasons I grew to love the show in the first place.

But in preparation, the October 6th issue of TV Guide (it hits the newsstands on October 2nd) features a great photo of Petersen and Helgenberger on its cover and an interview with the pair inside.
And, they have generously sent an excerpt from the interview for me to share with you:
TV Guide: What would you like to see happen in your last scene together?
William Petersen: We finally have sex? Believe me, it’s been brewing all along. For me, anyway.
Marg Helgenberger: Catherine would love to have a roll in the sack with Grissom!
Petersen: They have this understanding with each other. There’s a different kind of respect Grissom has for Catherine that would preclude a relationship on that level. The very thing that was wrong with Grissom and Sara is what he wouldn’t allow to happen with him and Catherine.
TV Guide: Maybe after a few eggnogs at the next CSI Christmas party?
Petersen: That could still be in the offing. Grissom’s not going away forever, anyway. Maybe he’ll go to Mexico, then come back and take Catherine with him. A tequila holiday!
Helgenberger: [laughs] Our lost weekend.
TV Guide: How will Grissom say good-bye?
Petersen: We’ve been mapping out my last 10 episodes that will take Grissom from one place to another. There will be no brain tumor for four episodes. That’s the easy way out. We’re trying to paint it as we have done with Jorja [Fox] and Gary [Dourdan]. We’re trying to make it as real and close to reality as the show has been all along.
TV Guide: You had a pretty decent movie career going before you met Gil Grissom. Do you want to get back to the big screen?
Petersen: If this was about going off and making films, I’d stay on CSI. I’d love to see us make a CSI film.
Helgenberger: Really?
Petersen: That’s the other reason Grissom isn’t going to die of a brain tumor.
Helgenberger: I didn’t know that.
Petersen: It could be good if we did it right. The whole world is interested in the show.
Be sure to pick up the October 5th issue of TV Guide to read the entire interview!!
