A Perfect Setting for the CSIs
June 30, 2009 by Lynn
I’m in Las Vegas right now, the setting for CSI: Vegas and I keep watching for Catherine, Dr Ray Langston and the other CSIs to show up and start taking fingerprints. I know that it’s silly, but it really is the perfect setting for the show. It’s possible to see anything happen here.
Just as my friends and I were waiting for our car to be brought up by the parking valets at the Bellagio, this armored car pulled up. I couldn’t help myself. I had to snap a picture.

We’ve seen armored car heists in all of the CSI series, but standing there, right next to an armored car, outside of one of the richest casinos in Las Vegas, I couldn’t help but look around for the story to begin. LOL!
Thankfully, no crime was committed and everyone was safe here today. But I thought it was such a fun thought and photo that I just had to share.
Have a terrific day, CSI fans.

CSI: Miami & CSI: Vegas to Compete in Monaco
June 4, 2009 by Lynn
According to Variety, the annual Monte Carlo TV Festival begins on Sunday in Monaco. And just like in years past, two fo the CSI series will compete for the title of most-watched TV drama, worldwide.

This year, CSI: Vegas, CSI: Miami & House MD will go head to head for the title. The nominations were chosen by the Producers’ Guld of America and one of them will bring home the title this year. I’ll keep you posted.
The fest has had to develop a new identity since it abandoned its market in 2001. CEO David Tomatis said Tuesday that it now serves as a networking event for producers and talent; a platform for international productions in its six competitive sections; and an opportunity for some 350 invited journos, mostly from Europe, to meet U.S. talent.
As a fan of all three of the CSI series, I see it as a 2 out of 3 chance of winning. Those are great odds!!

CSI: Vegas Episode 9.24 - “All In” Spoiler Clip

CSI: Vegas - Episode 9.24 - All In
Air Date: May 14, 2009
Tonight is also the season 9 finale of CSI: Vegas. Here’s a fresh spoiler clip from CBS that shows us how the case will begin. Catherine and the team go to investigate a body dumped in the desert outside of Las Vegas and start to put the pieces of the puzzle together.
I think it’s interesting that Langston volunteers in the ER. He’s a very interesting character! He helps with autopsies, teaches and works at the hospital between CSI cases. I really like him, but this guy definitely needs to get a personal life!

CSI: Vegas - Episode 9.24 - All In
Air Date: May 14, 2009
Tomorrow night is the season 9 finale of CSI: Vegas. In it, we’ll see the team take on a huge scam involving poker chips. The way I see it, that sounds like a scam that’s as big as counterfeit money, because in Las Vegas, chips are money.
Since it’s the season finale, I know this episode has got to be intense. CBS never lets us have easy endings to things in the last episode of a season. At least none of the Vegas CSIs are supposed to be shot in this season finale…thank goodness!!

“All In” — Catherine (Marg Helgenberger, left), coroner David Phillips (David Berman, center) and Dr. Raymond Langston (Laurence Fishburne, right) discover a body on the site of a closed casino that is at the center of a poker chip scam, on the ninth season finale of CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, Thursday, May 14 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

CSI - Finale Info for All Three Series
April 30, 2009 by Lynn
I have information for you about all three of the CSI series’ season finales. First of all, be very careful to note that the finale of CSI: NY has been moved…and to an unusual day for the series. Instead of the CSI: NY season finale airing on May 20 as was first reported, the finale has been moved to follow the season finale of CSI: Vegas on May 14. This is important for CSI: NY fans to note since it will air on a Thursday, not the usual Wednesday.
That being said, here is the rundown of spoilers for the three season finales:

CSI: Vegas - Episode 9.24 - All In
Air Date: May 14, 2009
Spoiler:
Det. Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne) has to use deadly force for the first time in his CSI career while investigating a series of murders tied to a scam involving poker chips from a dearly departed casino. Lost’s Cynthia Watros and Jericho’s Gerald McRaney guest star. Wallace Langham (Hodges) promises “no major changes to the team” — a relief to fans still grieving the loss of Grissom. And after two season-ending cliff-hangers in a row, fans won’t have to bite their nails all summer: “It actually is self-contained,” Langham adds, “a really good standalone episode.” [Source: TV Guide]

Danny and Lindsay’s baby drama takes a back seat to actual life-and-death issues as the CBS procedural wraps up its fifth season. What you may have heard: One member of Mac’s team will be murdered within the episode’s first 10 minutes. What you may not know: The finale’s cliff-hanger will place a second major character in jeopardy, with his or her fate left up in the air until the fall’s Season 6 premiere. [Source: TV Guide]

Grissom to Return for CSI Movie
April 22, 2009 by Lynn
![]() [Photo: newscom.com] |
That’s right! According to TV Guide, there’s a CSI movie in the works! And even better news is that William Petersen will return to play Gil Grissom in it. Here’s a quote from William about the movie:
“Yes, there will be a movie,” Petersen told Britain’s Radio Times. Although he is sure fans might be “a little trepidatious,” Petersen promises the move to the big screen will not be done haphazardly.
“Usually people leave it till a series has finished —they did that with The X-Files and Sex and the City,” Petersen said. “But it’s about finding the right story, there has got to be a real reason to do it.”
“You don’t just do it because you want to make money — you do it because there’s a story that can’t be told on TV and needs to be told from CSI’s perspective and the audience wants it,” Petersen said. “And we can’t wait for CSI to end or Grissom will be about 90.”
So there you have it, Grissom fans and CSI: Vegas fans! This is truly cause for celebration!
CSI: Vegas - What Can We Expect From the Finale?
April 16, 2009 by Lynn

Sadly, we are nearing the end of the season for all of the CSI series. But we still have several new episodes left before the end, so are you already wondering how the seasons will finish up? If so, you aren’t the only one.
For example, the past two season finales for CSI: Vegas have been incredibly emotional and gripping. We had to wait through the entire summer to find out what happened to two of our favorite characters. Will we have to go through that angst again this time? TV Guide sheds only a bit of light on the subject:
Spoiler:
The past two seasons of CSI have ended with a cliff-hanger. Season 7 ended with Sara left in the Vegas desert by the Miniature Killer, and Season 8 ended with Warrick being accused of murder (and eventually murdered himself). Will Season 9 follow that same pattern? — Jocelyn
Wow, nice rundown! Wallace Langham tells us the self-contained season-ender features Laurence Fishburne’s Langston in the line of fire: “You see him put into some situations that are new for him, as far as being out in the field and having to deal with perpetrators.” Langham’s Hodges, meanwhile, gets to stay in the lab, where he’s happiest. (Coming Thursday: Read our full Q&A with Langham about this week’s sci-fi-themed episode.) [Source: TV Guide]
CSI: Vegas - Episode 9.20 - “A Space Oddity” Sneak Peek
April 12, 2009 by Lynn

CSI: Vegas - Episode 9.20 - A Space Oddity
Air Date: April 16, 2009
Someone would have to have no sense of humor at all not to like this trailer for Thursday’s episode of CSI: Vegas. It’s the one where the writers and the guest stars are from Battlestar Gallactica. Originally, this episode was to be called To Boldly Go… but now we see that the title has changed to A Space Oddity.
Lab rats Wendy and Hodges run into each other at a scifi convention. And if you’ve never had the pleasure of going to one, they are a lot of fun, even for a non-scifi fan like me. People walk around in full Klingon costumes and other amazing outfits, all while playing the parts of their favorite scifi characters, and so much more… And in this clip, we see Hodges’ very active imagination take over at times and it looks like he is romantically interested in Wendy. (Who wouldn’t be? She’s smart and pretty!) And when they get a murder case from the convention, the team and the lab rats have to wade through reality and fantasy to solve the crime.
Fans of the original Star Trek, be sure to notice David Berman’s parody of Scotty when he replies to the request to close the cadaver back up!! LOL!
