The First 48: A Real-Life Procedural Show

Yes, I admit it. The A&E show, The First 48 is not actually part of the CSI franchise. It’s not even a fictional show. But with the writers’ strike in full force, we are running out of new episodes of our favorite CSI shows to watch. In case you are open to an alternative show to entertain you until the new CSI shows return, The First 48 is a very good show about real detectives investigating real crimes.

The premise is that the first 48 hours of an investigation are the most critical. Statistics show that if a crime is not solved within that first 48 hours, the chances of solving it go way down. I like this show and think you might enjoy it too. Here’s a clip of an actual Miami investigation that would possibly challenge Horatio’s team:

A&E’s Real Life Series, The First 48, will return for its seventh season on Thursday, January 10 @ 10PM/9c. And here’s the synopsis for the premiere show:

In Memphis, Sergeant Connie Justice investigates the murder of a 32-year-old tattoo artist shot to death during a robbery. The victim’s husband, who survived the robbery, only knows the suspects’ nicknames.

Armed with stencils of tattoos the customers received before the robbery, Sergeant Justice must identify and track down the multiple suspects.

What was the best season premiere?

We’ve had the opportunity to see the season premiere for each of the three CSI: series.

The big question is, which one had the best season premiere?

CSI:Miami Season Premiere – What Did You Think?

My thoughts were way off about Horatio getting shot in somehow in this episode. I thought the episode was good overall, but I’m wondering if I may have been expecting too much. It just seemed like a middle of the season episode to me except for the twist about Horatio’s son. I’m sure that will be a plot line throughout this season, him trying to reconnect and be the father he never was before.

We had a poll awhile back asking which character was going to be killed of next season and the winner was Jorja Fox’s Sara Sidle.

With more news coming out about what we may be able to expect in the next season, I’m curious….

The Leading Men of CSI – Which Would You Choose?

I just ran across this tidbit on Parade.com.

Q. How did readers react to your opinion that CSI: Miami’s David Caruso is a better actor than CSI’s William Petersen? —Donna Staser, Floyds Knobs, Ind.

A. By a margin of 20 to 1, they disagreed. Typical comments: “You must be kidding.” And, “If William Petersen left CSI, I’d quit watching it.”

This leads me to our next site poll. Only I’m adding Gary Sinise to the mix to round it out.

King and Queen Crowned for Sexiest CSI

All the results are in from our Sexiest CSI cast members. Since I just got my cheesy little graphic done of our King and Queen of CSI.

As you all probably remember, we had a little contest for voting for the Sexiest Male and Female cast member.
