William Petersen Honored With a Star on the Walk of Fame

February 5, 2009 by Lynn

On Tuesday, William Petersen, aka Gil Grissom was honored with his own star on the Walk of Fame. For those of you who want to see it, it’s located in front of Musso’s & Franks Restaurant in Los Angeles.

And nearly all of his fellow CSI: Vegas co-stars were there to celebrate the occasion with him. I don’t see Lauren Lee Smith, Wallace Langham, Paul Guilfoyle or Gary Dourdan, But Robert David Hall, David Berman, Liz Vassey, George Eads, Jorja Fox, Eric Szmanda, Marg Helgenberger and Archie Kao all were there.

Here are some cute photos of them at the event, including one where Petersen dusted the star for fingerprints! LOL!

CSI: Vegas - TV Guide Article

November 1, 2008 by Lynn

William L. Petersen at 61st Annual Golden Globes. Photo: Newscom.CSI: Vegas was featured in an article in TV Guide recently. It goes into the relationship between Gil Grissom & Lady Heather and also a bit about his relationship with Sara Sidle. There’s some speculation about what may happen between Grissom and Lady Heather in the vulnerable emotional state he’s in at the moment.

It’s a very cool article. Be sure to go read it. I don’t have permission to publish the scan, but you can go to SpoilerTV to see it.

CSI: Vegas - Episode 9.02 “The Happy Place” Recap

October 17, 2008 by Lynn

CSI: Vegas Recap - 9.02 For Warrick

Episode 9.02 - The Happy Place
Air Date: October 16, 2008

The show begins with Sara and Grissom sharing moments in bed. As obvious as it is that they still care deeply for each other, he can’t convince her to stay in Vegas. His phone rings. It’s the lab.

A woman, Sprig Grenigier, leaps to her death from an apartment window. The team begins investigating the apartment and surrounding scene. They are unconvinced that Sprig committed suicide. Minutes before her death, she had received a phone call from a payphone across the street from the apartments.

Meanwhile, Grissom leads the investigation at the scene of a woman’s body in the alley behind a pawn shop. Her eyes have been poked and ruptured like a pair of grapes, as if by a pair of thumbs.

October 11, 2008 by Lynn

In this week’s season premiere of CSI: Vegas, the episode ended with a very emotional tribute to Warrick Brown…at his funeral. In this clip, we get to see a montage of scenes with Warrick and the tear-jerking eulogy delivered by Gil Grissom

We Find Out Warrick’s Fate Tomorrow!

October 8, 2008 by Lynn

CSI: Vegas fans have been waiting (and even mourning) since the season 8 finale, when Warrick Brown was shot, to find out his fate. We know that Gary Dourdan is leaving the cast, but we still don’t know if that means he is going to live or die.

CBS Just released a spoiler/teaser video clip for tomorrow night’s season 9 premiere. In it, the cast members all talk about what it was like to film both the S8 finale and the S9 premiere. Apparently, they found it very emotional. After all, they’ve been a “family”, of sorts for over 8 years. It really must be hard to act out the loss of one of their own.

Check out this clip. I really enjoyed when Marg Helgenberger says that it was good to have Jorja Fox back for the episode because there had been an “overabundance of testosterone on the set.”

Jorja Fox at Pre-Emmy Party

September 24, 2008 by Lynn

I found some photos of Jorja Fox at the Entertainment Weekly’s 6th Annual Pre-Emmy Party held at the Historic Beverly Hills Post Office in Los Angeles on September 20. Her new haircut makes her look quite different to me. I guess since she’s not been in the public eye as much in recent months, a change is more surprising than it might be otherwise.

What do you think of her new look?

CSI: Vegas - Episode 9.01 For Warrick
Air Date: October 9, 2008

We have to wait until the season 9 premiere of CSI: Vegas to find out if Warrick lives or dies on CSI: Vegas. We do know that Sara (Jorja Fox) will be back for this episode, but we don’t know if it’s for his hospital vigil, his funeral, or his recovery. We do know that Gary Dourdan is leaving the show, but that’s all we’ve known. But today, CBS released another teeny, tiny tidbit of information about the premiere. Click on “Read More” for the scoop.

CSI: Vegas - Ausiello on Sara’s Return

August 10, 2008 by Lynn

Jorja FoxWe’ve been told that Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) will be back in CSI: Vegas season 8 for at least the first episode For Warrick. But the number of episodes she will be in has not been revealed to us until now. Here’s what Michael Ausiello has to say about it in his usual evasive style:

Question: Please set the record straight. Is Jorja Fox doing just the season premiere of CSI, or will she be in additional episodes? — Shane
Ausiello: I don’t want to give away the exact number, so let’s just say she’s doing two more than Gary Dourdan and seven less than William Petersen.

CSI: Vegas - Post-Grissom Cast Plans

July 15, 2008 by Lynn

Jorja FoxI know, I’m still trying to digest the news that William Petersen is leaving the cast mid-season. So now I guess it’s important to find out how the writers & producers plan to handle all the big changes to CSI: Vegas’ cast in season 9.

Executive Producer for the show, Carol Mendelsohn, told the plans for the show to Michael Ausiello over at EW.com. Last season, Sara (Jorja Fox) left the show, then the finale saw the brutal shooting of Warrick (Gary Dourdan.) Now with Grissom (William Petersen) leaving, they have a lot of changes in store for us! Here’s the run-down of what we will need to expect in CSI season 9:

  • We’ve already been told that Jorja Fox will be back for the season premiere, but now we find out that she will be in several of season 9’s episodes. I’ll report the details to you as they are released.
  • Gary Dourdan will be back for the premiere only. According to Mendelsohn, “We’re not saying whether or not Warrick lives or dies, but we will say that the premiere may be the last time our loyal fans see the entire original CSI cast together.”
  • Lauren Lee Smith (The L Word) joins the cast in the third episode as new CSI Riley Adams. Carol Mendelsohn: “She has a very distinct personality… a very wry sense of humor. She doesn’t take herself too seriously.” Executive producer Naren Shankar: “This is a person who, unlike the rest of our gang, has not had Grissom as a mentor. So there’s a very different relationship between Riley and Grissom.”
  • A new male CSI, a professor of pathology will enter the cast sometime during the season. We don’t know the actor who will play this Grissom replacement yet, but the show has considered the likes of John Malkovich and Laurence Fishburne. This CSI may not be a supervisor like Grissom, but will fill the hole in the cast left by him. The character is said to also have “a very rare genetic abnormality,” whatever that means.
  • Liz Vassey (lab rat Wendy) and David Berman (coroner David) will become regulars each week and Hodges (Wallace Langham) will have a more integral part in the cast.
  • Somehow, the Miniature Killer will make another appearance and Grissom will be involved with that. (Very cool!)

I’m worried about the future of the show, but know that major cast changes were inevitable at some point. Hopefully, the integrity of the show will remain and we will come to love the new CSI as much as before. But don’t worry, as more information is released, I’ll report it here.
