Are you like me and already wondering what’s in store for CSI: Miami fans in season 8? Well, luckily, there’s a bit of a spoiler to be had on this. We do know that Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez) will survive the cliffhanger, because he’s back fro the next season. Whew! At least we know that much…now if we could just lean more about who will return for season 6 of CSI: NY.

Here’s also a quick update for fans of Rory Cochrane, who played Speedle on CSI: Miami.

Ausiello: Sources confirm that Adam Rodriguez will be back next season, so, yeah, I think it’s safe to say Delko survives. Meanwhile, we caught up with Rodriguez’s former costar, Rory Cochrane, at the premiere of his new film, Public Enemies, and asked him whether another Speedle cameo was in his future. His answer was, um, interesting. “I can’t really talk about it,” he said. “They talked to me about something that I cannot get into details about… I did come back once as a figment of Delko’s imagination, but I am pretty sure that is it for me on that show. I told them not to kill me but they didn’t take my advice.” [Source: EW]

Members from the cast of CSI:Miami and other CBS shows will be featured tomorrow on CBS Radio’s “Live from the Web Carpet” show on Wednesday, September 19th.

CBS RADIO is taking you live from one of the hottest nightclubs in West Hollywood for “The Cadillac of Premieres” in honor of CBS Television’s Monday night prime time shows. On Wednesday, Sept. 19 (8 PM, PT /11PM, ET), join host Leo Quinones of CBS RADIO’s KLSX-FM for this red carpet celebration featuring cast members from How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Rules of Engagement and CSI: Miami. Viewers will hear from the stars about the upcoming season and have the chance to win exciting prize packages online. “Live from the Web Carpet” can be viewed at www.webcarpetlive.com live and on-demand immediately following the webcast. In addition, CBS RADIO websites across the country and www.cbs.com will simulcast the program. CBS RADIO’s “LIVE FROM THE WEB CARPET” is a continuing series of online webcasts that highlight the most anticipated debuts from entertainments most exciting premieres. “LIVE FROM THE WEB CARPET” debuted in June 2007, and has featured live coverage of the red carpet Hollywood premiere of blockbusters “Transformers” and “The Bourne Ultimatum.” Thousands of users have logged on live and countless others downloaded the videos of the two prior webcasts via one of several CBS RADIO station websites.

Sounds like a great event and proves radio is still alive and well in this day of the Internet, Silver Screen and small screen.

E! Online reports that the character of Tim Speedle will be returning to CSI: Miami in the 6th season. That seems a bit out of the ordinary, since he was killed off in the 3rd season. But here’s what the article has to say about it:

CBS confirmed to E! News Monday that Rory Cochrane, whose character was killed off during CSI: Miami’s third-season premiere back in 2004, will be back for an unspecified number of episodes this year.

Back…from the dead.

“He will be reprising the role of Tim Speedle and it’s not a flashback,” a network spokesperson said. “He will be interacting with his old partner and friend, Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez).”

There’s no word as to how Jerry Bruckheimer’s minions are going to explain Speedle’s resurrection, but you’ve got your faking death, your witness protection, your evil schemes…etc. But now, at least, Speedle, who was gunned down during a police shootout after his own weapon malfunctioned, has a shot at redemption.

Perhaps it will be like in Rescue Me where Tommy’s dead partner is seen talking to him and he’s the only one that sees him. Who knows? But it sure will be interesting!
