Episode 7.14 - Smoke Gets In Your CSIs
Air Date: February 2, 2009

I love this clip! In it, David Caruso (Horatio), Emily Procter (Calleigh) and Khandi Alexander (Alexx) all tell ET about tonight’s episode.

Emily talks about how she has wanted a plot line like this for Calleigh since the beginning of the show and how she actually fell asleep during the filming of a scene. Khandi talks about how she comes to get involved in the case and how she will work to try to save Calleigh. And, of course David tells about how the cast is thrilled to have Khandi back for an episode.

I think I speak for most of us CSI: Miami fans when I say that we’re thrilled too!!

This is an actual clip from tonight’s episode that shows how Calleigh got in the situation where she was injured. A real treat for CSI: Miami fans is that tonight, Alexx Woods returns to help with the case! I love Khandi Alexander and I’m really looking forward to seeing her on the show tonight!!

I found this fun photo of former CSI: Miami cast member Khandi Alexander with CSI: Vegas new cast member Laurence Fishburne. It was taken at a rehearsal before LA Theatre Works’ ‘live radio’ production of Our Lady of 121st Street at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles several years ago. I just thought it was interesting, since they are members of the cast for two of the CSIs.

The lovely Khandi Alexander was born this day in 1957, making today her 51st birthday. Can you believe that? She looks fabulous!!

Well, it’s definitely CSI: Miami’s loss and HBO’s gain. According to Hollywood Reporter, Khandi Alexander has landed a role in a new HBO series called Treme. The new series is a post-Katrina-themed drama that chronicles the rebuilding of New Orleans through the eyes of local musicians.

She’ll play a bar owner, a live-in musician’s girlfriend and mother of two children. I sounds like a good premise for a show. I’m glad that Khandi has found a new show. It would be a shame for us to be without a place to enjoy her talents for very long!

I just found two new clips that I hadn’t seen before. and Since I enjoyed them, I thought you might enjoy them too. In this clip, Emily Procter & David Caruso talk about what it’s like to work on the show, how they feel about and how they approach playing their characters, and show us some behind the scenes footage.

After last season’s resignation of Khandi Alexander’s Alexx Woods from the department, there has been a hole in the collective heart of all fans, as well as the fictional CSI Unit.

Well, according to Zap2It, the department in Miami-Dade is actively seeking a replacement for the popular ME. The new character is slated to appear in the second episode of the upcoming Season Seven. Reportedly, the Miami’s newest ME, Lauren Price will be young but “wise beyond her years”. They are currently searching for an actress with some “ethnic spice” to play the part.

We’ll hope for the best.

I am still sad that Khandi Alexander has left the cast CSI: Miami. Hers was one of my favorite characters on the show. She brought kindness and compassion to each episode whe was in. *sigh*

But she certainly looked happy when she attended the National Kidney Foundation 29th Annual ‘Gift Of Life’ held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel on May 18. In fact, she looks fabulous!!

CSI: Miami - Tunnel Vision
Air Date: April 28, 2008

The episode began with Tripp and Horatio responding to a call about a car that fell through a sinkhole in the highway. Upon investigation, they realized that a tunnel had been dug underneath the highway and into the vault of a bank. There was a woman’s body crushed in the tunnel and it was obvious that it was all about a bank robbery.

The bank manager identified the dead woman as his assistant manager and there was speculation that she had disabled the security codes. Lots of cash was left in the vault and Horatio said that he didn’t think they were after cash.
