CSI: Miami fans know her as Horatio Caine’s really messed up ex, Julia. But Elizabeth Berkely is much more than that. She’s got her own reality TV series in the works right now. It’s being produced by MTV, so I’m assuming that’s the network that will air it, but it’s not confirmed yet. Here’s the high-level info that IMDB has about the series:
| Ask-Elizabeth | 2009 | (in development) |
And here’s the overview of what the series is all about:
This series follows actress Elizabeth Berkley as she visits various schools and youth groups around the country to facilitate her self-help program, Ask-Elizabeth.
The series already has an official web site and you can find out a lot more there, while listening to my favorite song by Corinne Bailey Rae, Like a Star.

Horatio’s Ex’s Real Husband
November 20, 2008 by Lynn
On CSI: Miami, Horatio Caine’s ex is played by Elizabeth Berkley. But in real life, she is married to this good-looking man. His name is Greg Lauren. I think they make a beautiful couple, don’t you?
This photo was taken of them at “A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to Cure Parkinsons” to benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research. Wow! Good looking and supporting great causes too.

Elizabeth Berkley Celebrates Candy Bar
October 29, 2008 by Lynn
On CSI: Miami, the lovely Elizabeth Berkley plays Horatio’s ex. But off the show, she’s a very busy person too. Here are some photos taken of her at the relaunch celebration at Dylan’s Candy Bar on October 27 in New York City. That’s a yummy-looking lollipop she’s holding too.

CSI: Miami - 7.01 “Resurrection” Discussion Points
September 23, 2008 by Lynn

Let’s discuss this season premiere episode! Here are a few thoughts I had when watching the show, but I hope you’ll join in with your thoughts too!
- Was this resolved too fast? Was taking out Saris and Ortega, and removing all the fused alloy rounds all just a little too quick and easy? I know that Saris is technically at large, and will surface again, of course. Still, one episode to tie up so many problems in one big motion seems like a big deal, even for Horatio Caine.
- Do you think it was really necessary for Horatio to fake his own death to accomplish his goal? It just seems a little extreme to me.
- The sentiment among the criminals was that they would have a heyday, with Horatio dead. It seems to me taht the rest of the the team would be able to step up and keep crime under control, after all, Horatio did lead them for so long that surely they learned from him, right?
- Is it just me, or is that Jake character a bit sketchy? I’m not totally sure I trust him at all. Calleigh could do much better…like Delko!
- I’m no ballistics expert, but if the boat blew up, wouldn’t all those bullets start to go off in every direction? It wouldn’t be just one explosion, but a big one, followed by thousands of little ones when the bullets went off…?
Overall, though I really enjoyed the episode. I liked that they left things open for Calleigh and Delko to get together.
What did you think of this episode? Leave a comment and let’s discuss!

Air Date: September 22, 2008
This episode answers the question in everyone’s mind with a resounding YES! Horatio Caine DOES, in fact, have an endless supply of those Silhouette Titanium Model 8568 sunglasses!
The show begins with Ryan at the scene of Horatio’s shooting, helping load the body into a vehicle. Calleigh and Eric arrive. They are upset, especially since Ryan said that he’d already released the body. Eric is suspicious of Ryan, but Calleigh quickly turns the focus to the list of Horatio’s obvious enemies.

Elizabeth Berkley Joins the Cast of CSI: Miami
November 29, 2007 by Lynn
Meet Horatio’s ex: Elizabeth Berkley is joining CBS’ crime drama “CSI: Miami” as a recurring.
She will play Julia Winston — Horatio Caine’s (David Caruso) former wife and the mother of his recently discovered teenage son, Kyle (Evan Ellingson) — who becomes part of an investigation when her billionaire husband is murdered.
Berkley has guest-starred on the mothership “CSI” series, “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” which spawned “CSI: Miami.”
The actress, whose feature credits include “Any Given Sunday,” “Curse of the Jade Scorpion” and “Rodger Dodger,” is repped by Innovative Artists and Kritzer/Levine/Wilkins Entertainment.

Editorial: I got the information for this post from SpoilerTV and The Hollywood Reporter, both very reliable sources. However, a reader left this comment for me: “Please correct your erroneous information. Elizabeth Berkley will be playing Julia, Kyle’s mother; she was NEVER married to Horatio.” I really don’t know which is the truth. Samantha, if you or anyone else out there can give me a source I can quote with the correct information, I’ll happily make the change. In the mean time, folks, Let’s just say that we may have to wait to find out exactly how this character fits into the scheme of things at CSI: Miami. (Samantha, thanks for the comment.)
