CSI: Miami – Who is The New Medical Examiner?

If you are like me, you’ve noticed the new Medical Examiner on several episodes of CSI: Miami so far this season, but there were no press releases about him being cast on the show and no announcements anywhere. We did get announcements about Eddie Cibrian and Omar Miller joining the cast, but nothing about him. Well, you are finally about to find out more aobut him.
The actor’s name is Christian Clemenson and he has amazing credentials. He graduated from Harvard College and from Yale School of Drama. He was a boyhood friend with James Spader and has won an Emmy and has several other nominations under his belt.
He’s been in many movies and a number of hit TV dramas and has proven to be a very talented actor.
So why haven’t they given us more info about him? And why is he still listed as a recurring cast member, not a regular? I don’t have answers to those questions, but I did put together a short bio of him and added him to the cast Biographies for the show. Yes, I could be acting prematurely, but I like his character and decided that I can’t possibly be the only one.

I started watching CSI: Miami simply because Christian Clemenson was added to the cast. He is a terrific actor who, as you said, has an Emmy plus one or two more nominations. If ever you have the chance to watch a rerun of “Boston Legal” he was a regular during the last two seasons playing a wonderfully quirky character named Jerry Espenson, plus he showed up in several episodes during some earlier seasons.
I got to see Christian in person on Dec. 6 at the opening of David Mamet’s new play “RACE” on Broadway (starring James Spader). He came out the stage door after visiting backstage and I was able to get his autograph. He really is a sweetheart in person, and he and James Spader are still best friends.
Thank you, Fanatic, for identifying Christian Clemenson. The first time I searched the Net I found nothing. What’s remarkable to me is that I knew he looked familiar but could only see him as a look-alike for Philip Seymour Hoffman. That I couldn’t place him with the quirky character on Boston Legal is a tribute to his acting skills. Clearly he’s a new person in this role.
Also: Is CSI Miami playing a game of hiring look-alikes, as in Omar Miller’s remarkable resemblance to Forest Whitaker? Or am I the only one who sees a bit of Philip Seymour Hoffman in Clemenson?
