There’s a category for the Best Breakout Performance of the year in this year’s Emmy Awards and the scene where CSI: Vegas’ Warrick Brown tragically dies is one of the nominations.
TV.com & Vaseline are going to give a special Breakout Performance Award at this year’s Emmy Awards Show. We get to vote for our favorite breakout moment on TV this year and the winning moment will win the Breakout Award during the Emmys on Sunday, September 20 at 8 pm ET.
Here are the moments that have been nominated for the award:

- GRAMMYs: Jennifer Hudson sings “You Pulled Me Through” (CBS)
- Saturday Night Live: Sarah Palin’s appearance on SNL
- ER – Final Season: George Clooney returns for the final season (NBC)
- Gossip Girl: Chuck finally professes his love to Blair (CW)
- Obama Inauguration: Beyonce sings “At Last” as the Obamas have their first dance (ABC)
- Dancing With the Stars: Former Bachelorette Melissa steps in as last minute replacement (ABC)
- Entourage: Vincent Chase gets a call from Martin Scorsese offering him a part in the Great Gatsby, saving his career (HBO)
- American Idol Finale: Kris Allen wins over Adam Lambert (FOX)
- True Blood: Bill Compton meets waitress Sookie Stackhouse at Merlotte’s Bar for the first time (HBO)
Be sure to go vote for Warrick on this site, then return to vote for the best of the Top 10 Finalists on September 14, and again on September 20 to vote for the Top Three Finalists. Then watch for the award to be presented on the Emmys that night.
