He asked them to let him out of his contract and just have his character put on the back burner for guest appearances, but TPTB refused to do so and gave him a choice stay till his contract ended or be killed off! He chose to leave but was bound for the next 4 years by the contract clause that said he could not do any TV, and that he could be brought back to the show for at least two appearances a year if they wanted to invoke it! We all know he was brought back for Bang bang your Dept witch in my opinion was a lame concept to start with! I'm sure Rory wasn't to thrilled with it either, but he chose to do it because he was still obligated! Now hes out of the contract and doing what he wanted to do in the first place! Movies! Now TPTB have decided that he should come back in the Flashback, and yes they seem to have given him more lines in this Episode and god knows what else to sway him to return! If I know Rory he has turned it down because he is tired of being drug back into the place he wanted out of and he is trying to get away from be type cast in the same rolls over and over when he is trying to branch out in his film career! Lets face it! he is typically type cast as the Stoner, or a cop, and he usually dies in his movies ! but hey that's what hes known for right! I'm sure he would like to do other characters as well, but when you get a script sometimes you just need to eat! I for one would love him to be in a romantic comedy where he actually gets the girl for once. A decent Movie please! not the lame ones that he has been getting in the past! Well Rory! I say bravo ! you do what you do best and Damn the man! You go for your dream and don't let them get you down ! I'll be there with you all the way and I'll watch anything you want to star in good or bad! I'll miss you on CSI Miami, But I'm sure I'll get to enjoy you elsewhere real soon!
