They say that, like with ‘Moonlighting’ the show tanked after the sexual tension was released. I think that CSI: Miami, in the case of Calleigh and Eric, has found a way to show their relationship, resolve what’s been coming for the past seven years and yet, hold back on so much that it’s got us still, wanting for more. They haven’t over-used Calleigh and Eric and some people are talking about Calleigh as though she’s some side character that’s getting too much attention. What they seem to fail to realise, is that Calleigh is virtually second in command (for lack of a better term). For her to not be used in the way she has, would be contradictory to her position and Emily’s role in the cast. Not that I’m saying I wouldn’t like to see Ryan, Natalia and Frank a little more, not at all.

I think Calleigh and Eric having a baby would be a wonderful thing. Because if you look at it this way, these are supposed to be depictions of real people (real people age). Real people can’t live in a world of short-lived relationships. In the spirit of character progression, i’d say that it’s likely rather crucial. Considering these characters have grown and matured on the sidelines of some pretty gruesome murders. Not only do they deserve it, I think they’re owed it.

And Emily is one brave woman to face that alone. And to so openly want it. I applaud her. She’s definately my hero.
