Will Calleigh & Eric Have a Baby Together Next Season?

There’s no definite news about it, but it could be a very strong possibility. According to Kristin at E! Online, last week when Emily Procter from CSI: Miami was in Monaco for the Monte Carlo TV Festival she told the press that she is hoping to have a baby in her personal life this year and it may be something that will work out on screen too.
Even though Emily is unattached, she feels that it’s time for her to have children of her own. Here’s what she said about it:
“I am hoping this is my year to have children,” she says. “I understand that I am possibly more European in my views of marriage. I am not going to say I’m not going to get married, but it’s not my priority. I think the Eric [Adam Rodriguez] and Calleigh story will work nicely if this is my year to get pregnant, and hopefully it will be.”
What do you think about the possibility of Eric & Calleigh having a baby? What kinds of new dynamics will it bring to the series? I’d like to hear your thoughts!
Eric and Calleigh having a baby? What a horrific thought. No chemistry, no sizzle. They can’t even get together for a believable kiss. They are already losing viewers in droves because of this ridiculous theme. Expanding it to that point is a death knell.
How about we stick to a crime show,work on the team aspect of the show and the other CSI’s.Remember,Ryan and Natalia.Let’s not forget Frank.There is already to much focus on Calleigh,it’s not The Calleigh show.I wish Ms Procter luck,but if she wants to have a baby,take a break from the show.Perhaps the other characters would get some well deserved screen time.
Some fans are more interested in the crime aspect of CSI:Miami,the team interaction,and the other CSI’s,Ryan,Natalia.Let’s not forget Frank.Really,some of the focus could be on other characters for a while,Calleigh has had enough.When did it become all about Calleigh. I wish Ms. Procter the best,but if she wants a baby,take a break and have one.Let the other characters have some well deserved screentime.
Well, I think it would be great, but the show will lose its purpose that is solving crimes it would be too personal, focusing in the characters’s personal lives. As I love the show, I will love this idea.kisses to all csi miami fans

I think if Calleigh and Eric do have a baby this season, it will be interesting to see how things play out. I like them as a couple so to me I wouldn’t care. I think all the stars get alot of TV time. They all work well together and can’t wait for the start of Season 8.
I think that would be so cute. they make such a cute couple. i wish they would have a baby together. that would be so awesome.
First of all, I think Calleigh and Eric makes a wonderful couple. Adding a baby to their scene, would be great, it would give a lot of fans like myself more reason to watch the show. Adding a baby to CSI Miami, would not really interfere with the cases because knowing the writers, they won’t be showing Calleigh and Eric all the time with the baby. Look at season 7, although they are together, the writers don’t really focus on them alone, everyone get a play or two in the show. So be real, the characters do have different life styles with problems and if the writers wants to consider giving them a baby to see how they cope with it, I personally don’t see whats all the fuss is about, but that’s just me.
I think eric and calleigh having a baby in season 8 would be a great idea i have always liked them together. I have been waiting for this since first season. I would just be worried that one of them would have to move to night shift cause of a relationship between partners. If they remained partners then that would not be a problem. Two sexy people hooking up and having a baby would make the show.
I think that it’s a wonderful idea. I’ve seen that the CSI writers have the ability to write their characters in such a way, that doesn’t interfere with the procedural element of the show.
They say that, like with ‘Moonlighting’ the show tanked after the sexual tension was released. I think that CSI: Miami, in the case of Calleigh and Eric, has found a way to show their relationship, resolve what’s been coming for the past seven years and yet, hold back on so much that it’s got us still, wanting for more. They haven’t over-used Calleigh and Eric and some people are talking about Calleigh as though she’s some side character that’s getting too much attention. What they seem to fail to realise, is that Calleigh is virtually second in command (for lack of a better term). For her to not be used in the way she has, would be contradictory to her position and Emily’s role in the cast. Not that I’m saying I wouldn’t like to see Ryan, Natalia and Frank a little more, not at all.
I think Calleigh and Eric having a baby would be a wonderful thing. Because if you look at it this way, these are supposed to be depictions of real people (real people age). Real people can’t live in a world of short-lived relationships. In the spirit of character progression, i’d say that it’s likely rather crucial. Considering these characters have grown and matured on the sidelines of some pretty gruesome murders. Not only do they deserve it, I think they’re owed it.
And Emily is one brave woman to face that alone. And to so openly want it. I applaud her. She’s definately my hero.

Calleigh and Eric should have a secret wedding that no one knows about. Horatio, Natalia, Ryan, and Frank get suspicious about the two, so the three start investigating Eric and Calleigh’s personal life. I think that would be cool. But it doesn’t matter if they do that Idea or not because CSI Miami is still the coolest show! I love CSI Miami!
I have always wanted to be an actress since I was in the sixth grade. I’d love to be a guest star on CSI Miami. I think it’s the coolest show ever!!

Huh, when CSI:Miami became a soap opera?! Besides I`m already sick of that funny relationship between Eric and Calleigh, I can`t imagine what it could be if there is a baby, too.. Btw I totally agree with maven and Linda. When the show bacame Eric/ Calleigh show. If they want to run a soap opera CSI is not the right place.
