I think, before attacking a new character, you should really give them time to develop.
I'm not necessarily saying I like her; I'm just saying you should give her a chance before you declare she's a biatch because first impressions aren't always lasting impressions.
Want an example? Ok. Raise your hand if you watch CSI:NY. Now, keep them up if you liked Lindsey at first. Ok, now put them down if that opinion has changed. I can almost garuntee that about 40% of people just put down their hands. Probably most, if not all of you, have changed your opinion about someone, whether it be from like to hate or vice versa, just because you have gotten to know them better.
News flash, it's no different for tv. The better you know a character, the better you are a choosing if you like them or not.
Again, I'm not saying I like her, but I'm also not saying that I hate her. I'm giving her more than the small amount of air time she's gotten to decide if she's a good character or if she should leave. If you can't do that simple task, then your opinion isn't really worth anything. If you can do that and you still find you don't like her then I won't argue with you because you didn't pass judgement on her immeadiately.

She wasn't siding with the dad; she was just telling ray to stay on track.
I, personally, want to see more of her and Greg.

No, way that Riley is Sara Version 2.0 she hasn't had the screen time to show us that. Riley is just there we haven't seen her do anything other than make minor comments and fill space. Sara was never disrespectful of her co-works like Riley was with Doc Ray. Sara was difficult with people who abused children; Riley sided with the dad in Grave Shift after Ray tried to get in his face about smacking his son. Right now Riley is an unknown quantity to us and TPTB have till May to fill in the blanks with her. But I don't hold out much hope for her.

So basically, Riley is "Sara 2.0" with the chip on her shoulder and being tied to a victim of crime. She's sure got Sara's difficult attitude.

Thanks writers. You could have created an original character, but no. I hope they write Riley out SOON!
