William Petersen Talks About Leaving the Show

January 15, 2009 by Lynn

CBS just relased this little clip of William Petersen talking about what it’s like to leave the show after 8 and a half years. He says that all the things Grissom is going to go through on screen tonight are the same things he’s going through in real life. Grissom is leaving the people and the job he’s grown to love, and so is Petersen. It really seems to be bitter sweet for him. And it make me wonder why he’s leaving the show if he loves it so much…

Tonight is Grissom’s last episode as a regular CSI: Vegas cast member. If you are like me, you’ll need to have a box of tissues handy for the show. (I’m such a sap!)

I must be a sap too, then, because I’m totally going to miss Grissom. Although, on the other hand, I’m sort of excited to see where they take the show.

Concerning the heartbreaking episode of Grissom leaving CSI, he will be back, he and Sarah; this is my opinion. He and Sarah Sidell will return together, married, and possibly with a little GrisSidell in tow. I do not know how long they will be on hiatus from the show but…let’s wait and see if this prediction is correct. The show just is not the same without Gil Grissom; I miss Sarah and I will miss Grissom.

CSI Las Vegas will never be the same without the original cast. I’ve been an avid fan since it started. I never missed an episode. The success of the show is because of the great actors who portrayed their role well. I guess the last season for me is when Sara, Warrick and Grissom leave the show. The succeeding episode will just be an ordinary one.
