Continuing with the look back at Gil Grissom’s time on the show, here are some memorable moments starting with season 4:
Fur & Loathing: October 30, 2003 – Season 4
Grissom attends “Fur Con”, a “furries & plushies” convention in order to solve a murder involving a man found dead wearing a raccoon costume.

Butterflied: January 15, 2004 – Season 4
Grissom & Catherine (Marg Helgenberger) work on a double homicide investigation where the victim has eery physical similarities to Sara (Jorja Fox).

Paper or Plastic: February 12, 2004 – Season 4
Grissom and Warrick (Gary Dourdan) are called to investigate multiple homicides in the wake of a grocery store robbery gone awry.

No More Bets: May 13, 2004 – Season 4
Grissom, along with David Phillips (David Berman), investigates a double murder at one of the casinos owned by Sam Braun, Catherine’s biological father, eventually forcing Grissom to remove her from the case.

Bloodlines: May 20, 2004 – Season 4 Finale
Grissom, along with Brass (Paul Guilfoyle) and Catherine (Marg Helgenberger), works an unusual case where the physical evidence doesn’t coincide with the victim’s ID of the perp.

Down the Drain: October 7, 2004 – Season 5
Catherine (Marg Helgenber) and Grissom search a storm drain tunnel to investigate the “apparent” murder of a lifeguard found dead in a storm sewer grate following a heavy rain.

Ch Ch Changes: November 18, 2004 – Season 5
Grissom and Nick (George Eads) investigate a murder involving the Las Vegas transgender community.

Who Shot Sherlock: January 6, 2005 – Season 5
Greg (Eric Szmanda), Captain Jim Brass (Paul Guilfoyle) and Grissom investigate the murder of a Sherlock Holmes enthusiast found dead in hi perfectly recreated Victorian Era Baker Street study.

Nesting Dolls: February 3, 2005 – Season 5
After Sara (Jorja Fox) is suspended and sent home, she consults with Grissom and ends up revealing her long-held family secret that her mother murdered her father.

Grave Danger: May 19, 2005 – Season 5 Finale
Grissom struggles to save Nick (George Eads), who has been kidnapped and buried alive in a glass coffin. The explosive 2-hour Season 5 finale was directed by Oscar-nominated director Quentin Tarantino.
