CSI: Miami – 7.01 “Resurrection” Discussion Points
September 23, 2008 by Lynn

Let’s discuss this season premiere episode! Here are a few thoughts I had when watching the show, but I hope you’ll join in with your thoughts too!
- Was this resolved too fast? Was taking out Saris and Ortega, and removing all the fused alloy rounds all just a little too quick and easy? I know that Saris is technically at large, and will surface again, of course. Still, one episode to tie up so many problems in one big motion seems like a big deal, even for Horatio Caine.
- Do you think it was really necessary for Horatio to fake his own death to accomplish his goal? It just seems a little extreme to me.
- The sentiment among the criminals was that they would have a heyday, with Horatio dead. It seems to me taht the rest of the the team would be able to step up and keep crime under control, after all, Horatio did lead them for so long that surely they learned from him, right?
- Is it just me, or is that Jake character a bit sketchy? I’m not totally sure I trust him at all. Calleigh could do much better…like Delko!
- I’m no ballistics expert, but if the boat blew up, wouldn’t all those bullets start to go off in every direction? It wouldn’t be just one explosion, but a big one, followed by thousands of little ones when the bullets went off…?
Overall, though I really enjoyed the episode. I liked that they left things open for Calleigh and Delko to get together.
What did you think of this episode? Leave a comment and let’s discuss!

You guys don’t watch Mythbusters, of course that is exactly will happen if this show was real.
And if this show was real, as you’ve seen on mythbusters, a gun shot isn’t enough the set off the propane tank, even the mighty 50 Cal won’t set off the propane tank.
I hate that is so FAKE!
I hate the fact the bad buy isn’t dead. They saved him because will bring it back in 6-7 episodes or at the end of the season.
The “he framed his death so the one sent from prison won’t kill him” explication is kind of sketchy, he framed his that for more viewers that is clear.
I won’t buy the explications for the cliffhangers in CSI Miami or NCIS.
And the fact that in both shows the bad guy escaped is rubbish.

EXACTLY.
And if you are deep undercover you are not supposed to strutt around the MDPD 24/7 for everyone to see.
Very disappointing und underwhelming.
