Horatio Caine is Dead?!?
If you watched in horror last night’s CSI: Miami season finale, Going Ballistic, you’re probably wondering what will become of the show, Horatio Caine, Wolfe, Kyle, Julia, and Ron Saris, Horatio’s long-time nemesis. Fortunately, CBS video features Emily Proctor, and David Caruso, talking about season 6, and the making Going Ballistic, and includes some frank discussion of what’s going on with Horatio, Wolfe, and Saris.
This season took Horatio to some dark places. This episode showed an ending putting Wolfe in a very dark place. If you’re upset at the developments at the end of the season 6 finale of CSI: Miami, you’ll want to hear what they have to say, especially, David Caruso.

Horatio is CSI MIami, the best CSI, Las Vegas is OK, New York is a diappointment since actors no charisma.
Why is Horatio killed? Why end CSI Miami?

I have feel in love with Horatio, CSI Miami is the boom. It is so much better than CSI new York, and Las Vegas, Please don’t kill Horatio off the story can’t end this way. Can’t leave us hanging. Did Wolfe have something to do with it or maybe it was the wife of Horatio son????? Can’t end two many questions un answered.

Horatio is my life, I’m his biggest fan since the first time I saw him. If he dies, it will never be the same and nobody would watch CSI: Miami anymore. I’m really crying now :(

No way can H be dead! There was no blood, no bullet wound and I hate to say it, but how many times have they faked someone’s death? Until the ME is examining him on the table I don’t believe it.

If you watched the clip above, Horatio says that he “designed a staging of an event that will free him up to go after this man with a different license,” I believe that he faked his death so that it would be easier for his to kill Ron. It also seems the ryan is in on the plan, hence the text message…

He isn’t dead but there was some blood, the glasses saved him, they have been a clue all season. Callie said it if they hit something cold they go straight through, if they hit something hot they breakup. It hit his sunglasses first!

They Did Hit His Sunglasses but if they hit something cold hence the bullet probably grased his shoulder and or his arm so ya its probably not life threatining if it was im oh so sure everyone would be very sad!!!! I Love Horatio Caine He Rocks If He Dies I Will Be SUPER SAD so i hope he dosnt die!!!

I actually think he’s not dead. Why would CBS kill him? If Horatio dies, nobody will watch CSI: Miami anymore and then they won’t make any money.
And David Caruso said he ‘designed a staging of an event that will free him up to go after this man with a different license’. I believe it’s all staged.

calm down people Heratio isnt dead…lol…they wouldnt kill him off….he is CSI:Miami…he cannot be replaced….i like H but in a way i do think he is a Drama King on the show….and Ryan Wolfe….i love him….im only 14 but i have seen every single episode of CSI:Miami ever aired….and trust me im 99% sure they wont kill off H or Ryan!

Nicole, you need to watch the episode again. At the end look real close to the panned out shot of him beside the plane. You will see a pool of blood oozing its way from under him. I too believe that David Caruso makes the show. Much better than on NYPD Blue. H is CSI Miami. No one should watch it is they have killed H off and not given any explanantion.

I totally agree with you MECO. Horatio is CSI: Miami and he’s hot. I can’t live without him! I don’t think he is really dead, because if Horatio dies nobody will ever watch CSI: Miami and then it has to end. But if that was true we would already know it.

I only watch Horatio when I need someone to hate. The show that showed Alex leave was my favorite but since she didn’t die, I worry she will return.
CSI is more acurately CS”Incredible Egos” It is obviously written to accomodate what the regulars “think” makes them look good. Horatio being the worst of the lot. A good season finale would be a disaster that takes whole crew out (the writers too if that is the best they can write). At least a new crew would be worth the electricity it takes to air it and the time it takes to watch. Then it could be something to see every week.
I’m sure “H” will be back, even though no one rushed to his aid to save him and anything he could survive wouldn’t warrant the dramatic “death stare”.
My four old tells stories-he could tell better stories and is a much better actor…

I think that Ryan is helping H because h helped him get his badge back. If you remember the episode when Ryan finally got his badge back he told H “you went to bat for me and I won’t forget that.” I think the two of them are working on something big to go after Ron. Just my $.02.

I agree that H is the main character, but if you have been watching the other CBS and Fox shows in the same genre, you know they are killing people off left and right. I hate it, because if the writers must go this far for ratings, the shows are doomed anyway.
In the case of Miami….it is exactly the fact that everything is over-board that makes the show (mary–if you hate the show, tune in to the Wiggles or something else). My favorite is always the shine on everything from tables to skyline. Horatio rules the one-liner circuit, and yes, they have been showing the sunglasses w/the bullet hole all season, so this was planned well in advance, either way. Just mmho.

I watch the show primarily because of Horatio.
I doubt he is dead, but I did not think we would get to $3.00 gas either!

Hey ya know that he has been on the show since 2002. There is no way in hell they will kill Horatio. He is way too important to CSI: Miami. I honestly believe this has all been staged for the benefit to get Saris. He is way too determined. And I think Julia is up to something when she married Saris. She is always up to something anyways. Even when she has that blank look on her face she is up to something.

Not to go against everybody, but I am kinda glad that H has a chance of leaving. Its a half-half thing. After you rewatch the season finale you start figuring out that test message.

they cant kill horatio caine… he is 2 important..well if anybody notisted when they were closing the doors 2 the plane h looked like he was getting a gut feeling or somthing..but then again he probly was thinking oh god i hope the shot dosnt hurt that bad..but he new somthing was going 2 happen..but i dont think ryan was helping h, i bet anything he was in on it but i dont think he was helping.. it was the way he looked somthing other than worry 4 h..

I have to say that I would not see the show the same way without him. Though I think that Calie would step up and try to fill his shoes. No one can be the great Cane!!!
I agree with many of the people on here. DO NOT KILL HIM OFF!!! He is part of the reason I even watch the show. To see how he can piss off the bad guys, and yet still get them. Get rid of Wolfe…And I agree about the mother…She had to have something to do with it!!!

It’s a big mistery indeed, but, i got shocked… Did Ryan really have something to do with that???? He’s my favorite CSI, he has already done some suspicious stuffs but still, I like him very much. In my opinion who shot Horatio is none of them, to me is Stetler,because I always think about the “unlikely”, I’ve got some experiencies watching soap operas here in Brazil lol… So, that’s what i think, let’s keep our fingers crossed for David Caruso and Jonathan Togo remain on the show.

If you listen to the video above David states that Haratio designed and staged an event that will allow him to go after his man.. I.E. His death is staged!!
