CSI Warrick Brown Remembered
We have no confirmation yet as to whether the character of Warrick Brown, played by Gary Dourdan, will live or die. But we do know that unfortunately, he’ll be leaving the show. I can tell by the comments so far that I was not the only person to be shocked beyond words when Warrick was shot in his car at the ending of this week’s CSI episode. I could feel it coming with the scene of them all saying goodbye at the diner and the tone of the song, but I had no idea it would be so graphic, or so shocking.
Over the past eight seasons we’ve seen Warrick go through some very personal and difficult times in his life as well as watching the romantic tension between his character and that of Catherine Willows. He’s gotten married, divorced, been framed for murder, overcome a gambling addiction, helped save his fellow CSIs from many close calls, be happy and sad and through it all we’ve enjoyed him on the show.
I, for one, have not only enjoyed the character, but enjoyed watching such a handsome man in the role. Gary Dourdan has been one of my favorite actors to watch for eight years. What a great-looking guy! And now to find that he’s had recent drug-related problems, well, it’s hard to take. I will remain a fan of Gary and will hope for his outcome with the drug charges and his career to be good ones for him. I can just feel that we haven’t seen the last of him. He’s a great actor and I look forward to the future roles he will play.
Best of luck in everything, Gary! You are truly loved by your fans!
And as for the fate of Warrick Brown, I guess we’ll have to wait for the beginning of season 9 for the answer…

I just finished watching the show and I am in complete shock. I am still teary eyed and I am so upset that this has happened. I love Warrick more than any other character on any of the CSI casts. He is amazing and wonderful and that ending shocked me and left me feeling…. awful. I miss him already

I am so upset with CBS and CSI that they could not make this work. What a horrible way to end his time on CSI not even the opportunity to return. My suggestion to CSI is warrick go in a coma so they do not loose loyal watchers. I see no interest in watching the show without him, he was genuine and nice to look at. Bad move on CSI and CBS.

I HATED THIS!!!Warrick leaving is one thing but killing him off is awful!!! I was shocked that the writers would go to such lengths to get him off. I believe that with his popularity on the show and what he gave to the team they could have at least respected him and just had him leave decently… I am so ashamed of CSI and don’t understand what is going on over there, two beloved characters now gone! BAD, BAD ENDING!

Well he may not be dead they can do anything on TV. but it wont be very believable if he isn’t after getting shot like that twice.Unless it’s all a dream.

Warrick will die for sure. The actor said that he will leave the show.
I don’t think he will live just to quit.

while I thought his character engaged in dangerous lifestyle I was really pissed when I saw him get shot in the car and hope this is not the end of him and I also hope that the CSI team resolves the corrupt underSheriff issue early in the new season.

I have never missed an episode and watch all marthons however, if Warrick must go then so will I, as I’m sure many other fans will stop watching. Warrick’s character was one of the good guys, his character doesn’t deserve to leave the show.

His character is leaving the show. That fact was reported shortly after he was arrested. Whether he lives or dies–I don’t know. His contract has not been renewed.

The producers could have allowed ‘Warrick’ to leave with dignity, he could have taken his suspension and at the end of it decided not to return to the CSI department.
But in typical style, a balck man must be degraded and left with no dignity! Therefore loyal fans were subjected to watching a gruesome death as a finale!
CSI will have no interest for me any longer since Warrick Brown has been killed off.
Best wishes to Gary.

They killed him off because he has been arrested twice for drugs. I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes to jail.
I am a HUGE fan, but I completely understand why they did what they did.

I can’t believe another csi member is gone, first Sarah, and now Warrick. What is going on. I feel that the way that Warrick left wasn’t right at all. I think the writer’s are a little lost, they’re not thinking about the fans. I think they should some how bring Warrick back, my opinion

To learn Gary Dourdan is leaving CSI has caused me sorrow! First Sarah and now Dourdan. Why did the writers I have kill off and make it drug related….another “Black” man stero-typed. Mr. ?Dourdan is an outstanding actor. I pray that God will touch his life and take way his desire for drugs. Anyone without sin…cast the first stone. God blessings upon you Mr. Dourdan. Looking anxiously forward to seeing you in future television roles.

Thank you UK, I also feel the producers could have writen him out with some dignity. Drug use or not his charactor was played well and well liked more than some of the other cast members. As for him being a role model for my children, I feel parent need to stop looking at television actors as role models. Moreover, children should be in bed getting the porper rest as to be well alert for school the next morning. Let’s not forget how many white actors with drug addictions continued to work on prime time sit comes. Let’s also remember arrested does not mean guilty. R Kelly was caught on tape having sex with a minor and six years later he has been heald accountable and continues to make music and money. How many children listen to him, their’s your negative infulence.

While I found it upsetting that they removed Dourdans’ character from the show, it seems to me that some of the people did not watch the show, they did not make it drug related, what happened (for people like Yvette that were not paying attention) is that he was set up by the sheriffs dept (could actually happened if you know how some of these sheriffs are) then after he was cleared the corrupt undersheriff decided to see if he was still a threat, it will be interesting to see how this plays out. my hope is some how he lives and then grissom and team fights back on say a Horatio Caine level.

May 21, 2008 at 1:57 pm
they not make it drug related, they made it corruption related, did you watch? then when he was vindicated the under sheriff did not like and went after him. what does that have to do with drugs or being a black man, he actually cosiders himself racially mixed.

I was in total shock at the end of the last episode. What a gruesome and violent end to Warricks character. I found it hard to compose myself after the final act. I still cannot believe it even in any way possible, that the writers of this award winning show, have not done their homework into how much Warrick’s death will affect their TV ratings.
Okay Gary Dourdan mistake of being caught taken drugs may or may not be related to their decision of killing off his character. But if it is - think long and hard directors/writers - have you ever done anything wrong, that you are eternally grateful to the others who have allowed you time to turn your life around, and given you a third chance. People make mistakes - don’t kill them for them.
Warrick’s performance in his last scene was outstanding - it was so realistic, I could not move. What a great actor!!!!!! He will be missed by all. I will not be watching CSI anymore now he is gone, what’s the point - the character worth watching is gone.
I do think Gary Dourdan is a good role model - If given the chance I believe he will overcome any drug related problems he has, and use his experiences in life, to reach all those out there who find themselves in a similar situation.
Gary Dourdan will go on as a fine actor as he is. On a more personal note Gary, I wish you well in everything you do. You are still someone to be looked up to - mistakes are mistakes - we all make them. Take care and I look forward to hearing about all the wonderful, creative, inspirational things you will be doing in the future.

I did watch the show and played close attention. I know he was “setup” by the sheriff [a white man]; which is still a “stero-typical” way to end a black man’s role. Terminating his role the way they did was not a shock…just sad….why not let him die or appeared to have died trying to save another human being? Those in power are unable to see a black male dying in a positive note. Drugs cross ALL color lines! Had Gary Dourdan been another “color” his role would have been written off in a much more dignify manner. By the way, make a column of two….list names of black actors/actress on one side and the other side list names of white actors/actress…you will see a huge difference! You can not say there is not many qualified black people who can act! The obivious is there are only a few roles that they are fortunate to secure. Make another list showing how many of each race and gender who are or were on drugs and still active in television! We are ALL suppose to be God’s children and yet…who reached out to help him with his drug issue and still retain his role on CSI? Stipulations could have been made in his new contract! How many of his white counter-parts receive help and still appear on television?? I will continue to pray that GOD will embrass Gary Dourdan physically and spiritually! Gary..stand tall and be proud you have made it thus far….put your faith in Jesus and if it is HIS will you will secure other roles! Not your will but HIS WILL!! Thank you Gary, I will miss seeing you in CSI!

Corruption, drugs or whatever you want to call it…he was still stero-typed. When did the “Law” change? One ounce of “black blood” and you are consider black. The vast majority of African-Americans have “racially mixed” blood in them….he’s still considered “black.” Too many people stick their heads in the sand and rather not face the truth….add up the numbers. Another good actor “kicked” to the crub! The writers could have done a better job writing him off the show….as said before….why not let him die from saving another person!

they wrote him off because of some personally drug use, and you understand? do you realize how many people use drugs recreationally? ( I dont) this does not make him a bad person, really it humanizes him. people need to get over themselves. just because someone is never caught it does not mean they did not do it. and dont get me started on what really goes on in the NFL.

Okay what is going on???? You so called writers have taken a great team and messed it up. This has nothing to do with race, this has to do with acting ability. Gary and Jorja can act. They made CSI and now you idiots have just cut them both off. This is a very serious mistake for CSI. It seems when you are on the top, people will do everything to knock you down to the bottom. I guess success just does not matter anymore. You are all just stupid fools. You have taken a great show and messed it up. I am thankful that I have all the episodes from all the seasons. This way I can look back and see what a great cast can really do. You so called producers and directors need to find another line of work. If anyone should go, it should be you guys.

Hey Cat, You need to get a life. This man has inspired many young people and he is truly a role model. Yes, I would want him to be an idol for my child if I had one. Look how he has gotten himself into and out of situations. This is called growth CAT!!!! Sometimes you have got to walk through hell for a heavenly cause. Gary played the role of Warrick superbly. He deserves the emmy for the last scene on CSI,

Hi,
Does it always have to be about colour - I am sure Gary Dourdan is not thinking this himself. The bottom line is that the producers/writers of this show have made a huge mistake, by letting go of such talent. Let’s hope that they can rectify this mistake by the next series, and open with a scene, which shows us that ‘Warrick’ is not infact dead.
CSI producers/writers, you know you were wrong to make the decision to cut Gary out of our show - show us that you have the courage to forgive and move on, and show all those who watch your series why we love it so much
Life is short, If all of us treated people this way - what sort of world would we live in.

I’m just trying to figure out why people are so anxious to play the race card here.
Yes, Mr. Dourdan is having personal legal issues and his contract wasn’t renewed.
Yes, Mr. Dourdan’s character had a dramatic ending.
Why does this all of a sudden become “a black thing”? I thought it was a FAR better episode than the poorly-paced, self-indulgent, barf-inducing Sara Sidle farewell.
I wish Mr. Dourdan well in his future endeavors. He gave us great performances right until the end.

I would like to say a few things about the comments and about CSI offing Warrick….
1. Gary leaving the show is not a white/black issue. Why is it that everytime something happens to a black person it turns into a racial issue?!
2. Yes Gary has some drug issues going on right now but who’s to say he was the one to choose to not sign a new contract? Have you people ever thought that just MAYBE he is ready to move on to other things and tired of playing the same role over and over again? I LOVE CSI and watch it religously and I am devistated over the Killing of Warrick but PEOPLE he is an ACTOR and he himself is not dead. Be thankful that he’s still alive in real life and possibly able to move on to something greater!
3.With everyone saying that they will not watch CSI again because of this…LOL…PLEASE…you know just as soon as the season 9 premiere comes on you will be in front of your tvs waiting to see if Warrick died or not. Guess what??? That was the intention of writing this episode like that….to get everyone to come back to see what happened. DUH! They will probably have more people tune in to this one episode just to find out than they have ever had before.
4. IF and I say IF lightly…if they do decide to keep Warrick alive his contract is UP he’s not coming back so all you people who want him to live just to get to see him on CSI again are going to go through this whole “emotional” drama again knowing that he wont be coming back.
5. I knew it was gonna happen just as soon as he walked out of the diner alone, I hated to see it happen but it did and there is NOTHING we can do about it but stop watching. I for one will NOT stop watching because I am a loyal CSI fan not just a “Warrick” fan. I find it is going to be interesting to see who replaces Warrick and the affect of his death has on his co-workers. We have got to enjoy our “eye candy” for a great eight years be thankful of than and stop downing the writers and producers. Trust me they know what they are doing and this is just going to cause the show to become even more popular. HINT: Look for the show to come to a complete end soon … simply because it’s been on so long and we all know the shows we grew to love doesn’t last forever (just look at the sapranos).
6. One thing I would like to see is a CSI movie! Now that would be awesome!
Good luck to Gary in his future and may GOD bless him.
Gook luck to all you people who think that this is a racial issue….May GOD help you and deliver you from the racial blur!
P.S. BTW I’m not racist for saying these things about race, I’m just real (i’m white and married to a black guy…so go blast someone else)
PEACE!

Does Anyone Else Think That This Might Be Set Up For Sara To Return???? Like She Did In Season 1 Episode 2 When Holly Was Shot And She Came In To Help With The Case.
Anywayz I Was Well Shocked When He Died, I Could Tell By The Atmosphere That Something Was Gonna Happen, I Knew Either Someone Was Gonna Return *Cough Sara Cough* Or Something Bad Lyk Someone Gettin Shot, Because Of The Last Few Scenes, And The Music.
Well I Can’t Wait For The Next Season To Air In The Uk Whoop Whoop.

I was really surprised at the way they choose to write the Warwick Brown character out of the show. I think loyal viewers deserved more. I would be interested to know what Gary Dourdan thinks about all this.
The demise of Warwick Brown is a shame, but at the end of the day, its all part of being an actor, just look at what they did to Isaac Hayes character in South Park!
In reference to the comment defolts wrote regarding the way Gary Dourdan views himself racially, I quote, - “One thing I’m trying to do with my career and with my craft is to blur the lines between what people think African-Americans should play and what I am doing…”
He sees himself as an African American with some mixed parentage.
Personally, I don’t think this has anything to do with colour….for once. I hope to see him on tv again, vary soon and I wish him well in whatever path he takes in future.

Just to clarify for anyone like Jake who thinks just because he was shot in the neck and it was a through and through that he has to die and if he lives it wouldn’t be believable IS their own mistake. I am a firefighter and an EMT in North Carolina and I have seen people that were shot live through much worse. For example shot in the head, in the neck, in the chest or anywhere else. It all depends on if it hit his jugular, corotid, or spinal chord if he is dead or not…Duh…Second a through and through is a much cleaner shot than on that does not exit because it did not hit a bone = no spinal chord injury and it did not if they are being precise due to the lack of blood coming from his neck. Any questions just ask… I hope Warrick comes back because he was one of my favorite actors on the show especially when him and nick teamed up together.

another original character taken away from us. I was unaware about his private issues and maybe the guy needs time to sort himself out…away from the mad bad world of TV?
Anyway, I can’t wait for new characters to be unveiled and it might give the old girl a shot in the arm…rather like the excellent 4 episodes when the G-MAN was at a conference and we got a new leading man in…

As much as I’m devastated and shocked beyond words by Warrick’s death, I actually applaud the writers for the wonderful script writing. Am I the only one who thinks it’s brilliant?
For one, we should stop talking about Black and White, or even about the drug issue. C’mon, you are seriously degrading the show by doing that. Think about it, Warrick was killed BECAUSE he, as a compulsive, determined, competent CSI, was going to hunt down the man behind the scene and that’s why the under-sheriff killed him. But by doing so, he might as well kill the whole CSI team because they are certainly not one to take this lying down. For that, I’m so looking forward to the next season and a horrible horrible death of the under-sheriff, damn that evil bastard! BUT WOW, what a twist of events! Good job, writers! I certainly didn’t see it coming, especially after Sara leaving, I didn’t expect them to let another go. :(
As much as I love Warrick, (I was so shocked I couldn’t even cry), if the writers were to bring him back from the dead, I’d think the script is lame. I mean, he didn’t die from ONE shot, but multiple shots and the one who killed him, CERTAINLY wouldn’t make a mistake in that, or he’d be the one in trouble.
But let me mourn. I loove Warrick so much. Like what Grissom said to him after Sara left, he is Grissom’s pillar in the team as much as Grissom is to him. He is usually very competent and level-headed, and I was just thinking after what happened to each CSI member (Nick in the grave, Cat’s father’s death, Greg’s trial, Sara leaving), it’s about his turn in this season to get the limelight, and well, he did that alright.
One more thing, I hope I’m not the only one thinking this way, but PLEASE don’t let hodges become a CSI. I’m fine the way he is right now, a little comic relief here and there in the lab, but I really don’t wanna see him all the time. PLEASE.
CSI team is soooo short-handed right now! Maybe Sara’s partner is going to join the team. Hm. Or Wendy. :)

firstly i was as shocked as anyone wen he was killed ((yes i think he dies, altho we dont no for sure)) but i kinda saw it coming wen the dude was next to the car
however i have to defend the producers, sometimes the popular characters are killed off to provoke the exact reaction we are seeing here! also has anyone considered mayb the actor requested the death to be so graphic simply to remove the temptation to return? some actors dont want to be typecast in a particular role so it may have been his choice!

I am so glad to read that my feelings about this episode are shared by others. I have never researched a show before but, I felt compelled to go online to see if anyone was talking about this. The scene left me dazed and confused. I could barely pull myself away from the TV. Over the last week I have continued to be distressed by the shooting of Warwick. Based on the posting by Kate there seems to be some hope that both Warwick and Sara will return. We should all be so lucky!!

He pleaded guilty to the drugs charges and he gets no jail time. Forget black an white, this is celebrity inequality. I hope they did fire his a**, some punishment for possession of large amounts of drugs is better than zip. He pled guilty, so no more proclaiming his saintly innocence OK obsessive ones.

I’m in Japan so we get shows a week after the US, and I was so upset tonight when I watched the show. I really fell in love with the character Warrick and was in total shock when I watched him get shot. I’m hoping that they renew his contract and pull a rabbitt out of their hats and keep him alive someway. If he leaves, I don’t think I will watch csi anymore.

I, for one, was happy to see him go. The writers are obviously trimming the weak links. First Sarah, and now Warrick. About the only time I sit up and feel entertained is when Gil is on the screen. It seems like every time Warrick was on the screen he was invloved in something illegal, immoral, or unethical and I hated it.
Then we find out Dourdan was arrested for drugs and now won’t see any jail time. How many people who are not on TV can get away with being arrested for three felonies and not go to jail? Good riddance!
Of course, Gil won’t rest now until the killer is found.

I cannot believe that anyone logically, truly believes that Sara Sidle was a mainstay or backbone of the show! Her character’s romance with Grissom was incredibly awkward and lacked chemistry. Yes, I know, that was part of the script and the character’s attributes, but really, Sara was an awkward square peg in a round hole on the show. I feel relief having that awkwardness gone from the show now. Grissom and Catherine are the backbones of the show — it’s written that way and it most of all, it works that way. The friendship between Nick and Warrick will definitely leave a hole now that Warrick is (supposedly) dead and gone. In real life the actors have a great friendship that comes across on the screen.

Who is hating on Gary? I hate that he is getting away with a crime that an “ordinary person” would spend 8yrs in jail for. He deserves some punishment don’t you think? Hopefully he cleans up his act and treats his body with more respect in future. I’d hate to read about him dying one day like Heath Ledger or River Phoenix. Once you’re dead you don’t have another shot at anything. Good Luck Gary…

Im a huge CSI fan who also loves the character Warwick Brown. I just want to say to some of the other fans. You never know what might happen. Because Gary had not had his contract renewed in the latest reports does not mean the execs cannot still change their mind,,or Gary. and on television, anything is possible. A Thought: Warwick knew someone big was involved, perhaps the team helped set this all up with impressive forensics..just to catch the crooked cop?

Yeah I watched the episode a while back, was really shocked and sad at first, however I don’t think the writers made a mistake I mean the scene just reflects how evil and corrupt some cops are, all we can do is wish him luck in the future with other movies and acting, and hope that Grissom and Co get thenasty sheriff person!

I REALLY HOPE THE WRITERS CONSIDER PUTTING THE CHARACTER WARRICK BACK. HE WAS ONE OF THE FEW REASONS TO WATCH THE SERIES. I MEAN IF GRISSOM THOUGHT ENOUGH OF HIM THE LEAVE HIM IN CHARGE, HE DESERVES ANOTHER CHANCE. THE OTHER CHARACTERS ARE OKAY BUT CANNOT CARRY THE SHOW WITHOUT HIM.
GET HIM BACK!!!!!

I also had teared eyes after watching the scene :-(
I just hope he won’t die…CSI Vegas would never be
the same without him.

I can’t believe it. First, Sara walks out, now Warrick was shot. I was shock and speechless for a while after seeing what the sheriff did to him. I was aghast.

It took me a little bit to catch up - the show was on my DVR for a while. But I just watched it last night and wanted to cry. Such a good show - but I knew at the scene with the lawyer and the undersherrif who the real bad guy was and I think Grissmon does too. But after feeling so sad for Warrick’s situation, I feel even worse that Nick’s going to be the one to find him (he’s still at the cafe hitting on the waitress). Definitely can’t wait to see the first episode of next season - just very sad to see Warrick leave.

It was great to see Sarah leave the show, but Warrick, despite all of his problems, added a great deal to CSI Las Vegas. The season finale was shocking, just like CSI Miami, NCIS and Criminal Minds. It’s obvious the writers want the viewers to come back to all of these shows to find out what happens. See you in September.

Gary Dourdan got the boot because he was always late if he showed up at all. Everyone can’t keep siting around waiting to see if he turns up sober enough to film.

was reading the comments and i too im so sad about his leaving the show…i seems highly unlikely that he will still be there next season after those gun shots to the neck..but a girl can hope…i think its bad that people can judge someone just like that we have no idea what he’s going through or his reasons for taking drugs..everyone makes mistakes the only difference is his was publicized…i hope he get up from this slump..i loved him on the show practically the reason i was soo fascinated with CSI LV… i wish for him all the best..and good luck on this career

What? How could they kill him off? What about his his grandmother “Grams” we never found out if he found his loved ones. Why not let his character leave with some dignity? He could have been “re-assigend” to a CSI department in another state and we just never see him again but still have good memories of his character! The show will be boring without his presence or allure. I don’t like this change at all. If his charecter does not survive I will probablly lose interest in the show and stop watching CSI LV all together.
Big Fan of Warrick Brown

Screw you Cbs. Not even giving Poor old Gary an option. He could return after all of this is over. Just put his Character in a coma like you did Brass in season six. Change the outcome of this episode or I’ll stop watching the show. Well maybe if Sara returns cos I read the episode description and an old friend is returning I bet all my money it’s Sara.

I just saw the episode… I can’t believe it, I’m in total shock, Warrick Brown has always been my favorite CSI, and this character has been through many difficulties, and overcoime them, so why killing him at the end and in such a way??? It’s so unfair I’m so sad that Gary is leaving the show, but I think he deserves a better ending… I’m very upset.

I have been watching CSI since its’ inception here in Australia.I have the dvd’s upto Season 6.I have also watched the episode where Warrick cops one in the neck. I did not know that Gary was arrested for drugs[ I hope that he gets his stuff together and overcomes his personal problems.].I sincerely wish that he does appear in Season 9 on tv.I like the current team as it is and would like to see Hodges role expand a little more but not as a fully fledged CSI.I also would like to see a little more chemistry between Warrick and Catherine [on the proviso that Gary comes back to CSI

Further more to what I was saying about the chemstry between Warrick and Catherine which fairly evident[at least on Catherine’s part] I would love to see if they could take it further. Also I would absolutely love it if Jorja Fox returned by far and away the best looking CSI[She can arrest me and take my DNA any day] I would also like see Gil be a bit more of a risk taker and not so analytical[not that I don’t like his character,in fact someways I can relate to him] I hope there are more seasons of CSI ahead and that the team stays together and solves more crimes et al.

allex radu is right. Gary dourdan wanted to leave the show. and lets face it, if two characters walked away we would all complain anyway, so a dramatic death for warrick might make an interesting season nine, and hey, it makes us want the killer dead. but i mean, not that many characters have left csi, so we might need to get used to it, but things like this happen a bit on the other csi s such as speedle getting shot. obviously whoever said it was racist is a twerp, whatever their skin colour, as Tim Speedle on Miami was a white man. But the real thing is, if he walked away we would have no cliffhanger, so no edge of your seat waiting to find out more, and yet again, we would not be satisfied that two characters just up and left as they were dissatisfied, this way, warrick probably dies, but dies as a good guy, not a guy who’s shady at best. an guys, bet ya no coma, to cliche, plus, the guy put enough lead in him to make a dozen paperweights, and no one was there to help him.

I just saw this episode here in Australia last night and was in absolute shock! I can’t beleive your lack of consideration for the fans of Warrick Brown. I’ll be watching the 1st episode of next season to see if you’ll somehow bring him back, otherwise I’ll NEVER WATCH CSI again. Killing him off like that is devistating and is an image that keeps replaying in my head over and over. You’ll never replace his character on the show and am sure you’ll lose many viewers like myself. At least give him a normal send off so we know he’s ok… for the sake of the Warrick fans, c’mon!

Slow leading up to it but what a brillant episode. They’ve been painting Warwick’s downfall all season and I think they took him out in true old style Vegas.
It’s got people talking, it’ll have people watching and I’m betting that’s the number one reason behind such a controversial ending.
If I were a character in the number one tv show on the planet then that’s how I’d want to go out - with everyone talking about me, everyone shocked and people all hoping for the next six months that it’s not really the end - not the silly wishy washy ending they gave Sara.

Why do you people have to make everything racial ? he was never treated any different in the show at any other time due to color or any other reason . Black man this white man that you people are rediculous ! I think the show is a great show because of the whole team and how they function together on and off of the job not because what race they represent .

It was a mutual decision for him to leave the show, that was reported back in April before he was arrested at the end of April.

As I read through the above posts it is very interesting to see the swing in opinions. I admit, I didn’t see the last episode. I love CSI but my life comes first haha. Regardless of how/why a character leaves a show, it is the writers’ and actor’s responsibility to create an emotional response in the viewers (just like many cry when reading a book…) — very well done from what I’m reading.
Sadly Grissom will leave the show next season (but will still make guest appearances), however, Sara will return in the beginning… This will hopefully create some closure for me - my heart bleeds for Grissom lol (he is by far my fav).
Happy re-run watching :)

I know what should happen. He should survive but the CSI team announce that he has died so that the crooked cop that shot hinm relaxes. They should set him up then the character comes out and catches him………god I wish I was a script writer!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, I have not been able keep up with the show (I work too dang much), but I’m disappointed that CSI Brown was killed off. This is not a black vs. white issue at all. It’s going to be wierd watching it now without him there. An now I understand that Gil is leaving too. Well CSI is a long running series and as such, change is inevitable.

I like Georgie’s idea.
Somehow, Warrick manages to survive the gunshot but he’s unable to recover immediately. Perhaps he’s comatose or partially crippled. The public is led to believe he’s dead. Over the course of the season the CSI’s get to the bottom of his shooting, culmanating in a final confrontation b/t Warrick and his “muderer”. Once justice is served Warrick leaves the department and rides off into the sunset

I blame the writers, though it does not look good for him at this point, the first shot, medically is almost always fatal, I seriously doubt he could survive a wound placement in that area.
So either the writers, dont like his character, poor guy, has been though a lot, what’s next, since they have obviously murdered him, writers, and to think everyone felt sorry for the poor writers, during the strike,
Not me,

i hope that you put mr brown back on the show the show just want be the sanm without him everyone have a problem or two.some people say that csi new york is the best csi show, but a lot of peopl as well as myself the csi las vegas is the best show on tv. You have to fine some way to bring warrick brown back on to the show. And that was a bad way for him to leave the show. Bring him back on the show because you might loose me as a weely viewer .I have to be at work at 5:00 the next day and i stay up just to look at csi las vegas each I love csi so much the my children got me season one and season two of csi las vegas.so you need to get brown back on the show you can come up with someting. jou can make like it was some type of dream or something. Just look at all the other stars who go threw rehab.I think he is a grate actor of his time. I have look at csi so many until i would like to play small part on the show i even if it was just a walk on part and maybe just say one line on the show . I just want you to know that i love the show a warrick brown as an actor and i fill he should come back on to the show than you and god bless you all
