CSI: Vegas Finale Trailer - What Happens to Warrick?
CBS has released this trailer for the season finale episode of CSI: Vegas. It looks like Warrick may leave the show because he’s in big trouble! He’s had more than his share of “situations” this season, and now it looks like it will all start to finally catch up to him. I’m still sad that Gary Dourdan is leaving the show, but this still looks like it could be an exciting season finale!

This has got to be the stupidest espisode of CSI EVER!!!!! Sure they could have let him leave but to kill him off is so ridiculas!!!! the Next season will not be very good and ratings will go down!!!

I had a feeling, when everyone slowly started to leave the resturant, that something was up. Even with that forwarning I was still completely devistated! I love Gary’s character on the show! He is an amazing actor and so exciting to watch. ***Gary, if you are reading any of this, just know that we support you TEN FOLDS! Everyone deserves a second chance! I sure do hope we’re able to see you continue to be a part of the CSI family!!!!*** Next seasons premier is a must see.

Did they have to make that shot so graphic?? I cant get the image out of my mind! We’ll definitely miss his character on the show. But I hope, that if Gary is leaving the show for good, we can expect to see him doing great things elsewhere!

Perhaps, you could have Nick and the red head waitress exit the diner, find Warrick slumped over the steering wheel, still breathing, he is then rushed to the hospital where he survives, so he can be in next season’s first episode. I did cry during this episode. Warrick gives just that amount of spice to your show. The dirty cop that shot Warrick in the new season’s first episode will be gunned down by the cop he is protecting for the double murder and Sarah returns to help save the day. She has to marry Grisom also. You would make a single mom elated if some, if not all of my comment could be addressed. Thanx.

I AM TRULY DEVASTATED!!! How is it that Robert Downy Jr who had more than his SHARE of drug interactions but was NEVER treated this way - GOES to show it is STILL a black /white world! - He is now in one of the highest grossing films and never was kicked to the curb in hollland….!!!
I sure hope u all can redeem yourselves and NOT let him die off, if he doesn’t return neither will my family, friends and I not return to honor this show.

Why would you have a character who everyone really loves die such a violent death. Is this his punishment for his real life actions. If so, you should look at all the other actors who have screwed up and continue on better than ever. You really ruined the show. He is one of your best characters. You should have cared about the public a little bit more since they are the ones that keep you on the air.

I hope that Warrick comes back next season, and I think McNasty is right on. Maybe they find him still breathing and save him, maybe Warrick wakes up from a bad dream and everything is ok. It all depends on his real life I guess, but I would love to see him come back next season. If Sarah can survive being stuck under a car for days, and Nick can survive being buried alive, there HAS to be a chance for Warrick.

When Warrick was the last to leave the diner I knew something was going to happen, WOW a bullet right threw the neck ( never a good thing ) I would think the second shot was either to the head or to the chest ( I guess that 2nd shot rules out suicide ) damn that dirty cop, gotta tell ya watching that scene made the hair on my arms stand up, you know sometimes to get the juices flowing T.V. shows will kill off a lead character,,,just like SPEED getting shot on Miami CSI. ALL in ALL great season finale.

Uh…guys. Warrick is D-E-A-D. He ain’t comin’ back, except maybe in a flashback or two. If he survives, then he identifies the mole (they can’t use “I don’t remember!” twice as a plot device)and next season’s got no major story arc.
Which is enough of a problem already. Grissom’s on a limited appearance contract and won’t be in many episodes; that means the CSI team will be essentially down to three. The old ensemble has begun - is well past beginning, actually - to crumble. Look for serious personnel additions, a lot more morgue scenes and Brass work and many guest stars. CSI is going to go through heavy changes next fall and past TV series history tells us that this is potential for diaster on a long-running hit. If you see a trailer for the 2008/2009 season where Grissom is water-skiing on Lake Mead and somebody spots a shark in the water…watch out! There may be a ‘jump’ coming up…
Then again, I think that’s already happened.

Warrick is dead–true. However, with all the creative writing skills available it is still possible to snatch him from the jaws of death. Besides–dead in movies and tv shows does not have to be dead. Warrick may have to go into hiding so he can stay alive to testify later. Who knows?

I’ve read everyone’s comments to this point and I’ve come to the conclusion that mjollnir is probably right. I don’t want to believe it, but I really think Warwick is dead. Even though I knew he was leaving the show, the ending still shocked me. I knew something bad was going to happen, but I didn’t think death. That piece of eye candy was the reason I even started watching the show in the first place. However, I’d hate to see another cast member leave, Sara and Warwick was enough, if another one is going to leave they might as well just cancel the show and finish on top.
Is it just me, or is Brass hilarious?
I pray that everything in Gary Dourdan’s personal life is resolved.

I about crapped my pants! Of course my hubby said he saw it coming. I agree with a previous post, I thought the car was going to explode actually. What is the reason Dourdan isn’t returning? His drug problem came up after that episode was taped. I bet they are going to try to replace his character but that never works. Well it sort of did once they found Hodges to replace Greg in the lab. But that took awhile. Anyways, something tells me now Hodges is going to try to go out in the field and that just isn’t right. Oh boo that was such a bad ending. And very graphic, I still can’t get that image out of my head. I’ll go cry in a corner now…

I Think his drug problems were making it difficult for the show .He really looked like a real drug addict in at least part of the last season not only on the one he was popping pills.Could be the reason he did not have great stories in the show lately.This said i too am sorry not only for him but also for Sarah leaving the show .

I jumped out of my seat during this episode (literally). I love Gary Dourdan and the show would not be the same without him. I hope that he is back next season. I just can’t picture the show without him. This was a crazy episode and it will be hard to wait to see the outcome until next season.

I just watched this. Like everyone, I thought his car would explode. Or maybe someone would jump in and hold him at gunpoint. But that sudden shot to the neck just had me sitting there dumbstruck, mouth agape, gasping for air, like OMG! WTF???
But, yeah, let’s face it. He’s gone. I won’t stop watching the show. But it will be missing a vital addition to the “hot sexy scientists investigating murders” factor. At least we’ve still got Nick.
AND, I’ve still got all the guys on CSI:NY. Life carries on. :)

Gary Dourdan got busted for drugs. Kinda hard for him to make a return if he’s in jail, don’t ya think? That’s why CBS killed Warrick off. That and because the writers of the show and Gary couldn’t reach an agreement about his contract.

I personally well not be watching this program again, and im saying this from my heart, i have been a fan of csi vegas from the start but i think that the team being split up so much has defenatly cramped the show and if warrick is gone for good then im gone for good to who is gonna be next gris and then cath then thats fully the end so im not going to be tunning in again to csi vegas and any other csi at that so good bye

What the hell is going on! how could you kill off warrick. he is a bad ass charecter and has been since day one.
if he has been killed off then the show wont do to great when it comes back coz that was just un called for. it wasnt to long ago that sara left so it just seems stupid.

I aagree it is very graphic my son was shot thru the neck at 16 and i was a little disturbed by the ending that is how real it seemed to me/

they had to kill him because in real life he got arrested for doing drugs so they let him do one more show where he dies so that he can serve his time in prison

why can’t he survive? everyone has pointed out that nick hasnt left the diner yet and he was “only” shot through the neck! i suspect that the other shots were aimed at the body and caused no major damge - it will be wether or not he is found in time and wether or not CBS want to put this mole storyline to bed or not?!

My family agree’s with you all but you would think CBS thought through this scene. What is shocking is that they can’t see how many viewers have been lost over this. Also Warrick was an edgy, smart character who was not niave. He also knew there was a dirty cop still out there, there is no way he would have been caught so off guard with all of the questions the dirty cop asked him. *sigh* I will watch the first episode to see if he lives, if not than it will not only be a farewell for CSI Warrick but the 10 of us who watch it.

So apparently I’m the only one who thinks Warrick was the least valuable, least likeable character on the team. Not that I wanted the character dead, but he didn’t carry the show for me. Bigger losses would be Grissom or Catherine.
My bigger question is why the CSI: writers are so bleepin’ uncreative. In the two CSI: finales to date (Vegas and Miami) the show is ending with a CSI shot. Geez folks, come up with something creative or bold.
Realistically, though, bringing Warrick back would be lousy writing even though many people appear to like him. You lose some element of plausibility (and yes, I know this is fiction.) Even in that context, miracles can’t keep happening to keep people “resurrecting” after each cliffhanger. If nobody ever dies, the drama kinda lessens.
Not saying Warrick annoyed me; I liked the character. He just wasn’t why I watched the show. And of course I hope Dourdan’s life gets worked out - that’s much more important than a television show.

You know.. I just watched the season finale and I was stunned. I had to watch the last few seconds several times (TiVo) to see if there was anyway he could come back. For anyone out there that remembers Dallas - the answer is of course Warrick can come back, saved by Nick because he was only a few feet away in the diner and if he didn’t hear TWO gunshots then he sucks. They also made a specials camera shot of him turning down his radio - which I am sure is a clue (Warrick was wired or something). My question is this, and I realize Gary is having personal issues, but in previous seasons they “nearly” killed Nick and “nearly” killed Sara (I say nearly because the team had already started looking for them), why do they have to make Warrick’s death look so final? And can someone please tell me why the black person always dies first? People who know what I am talking about - please speak on it. CBS - I was already disgusted by the canceling of The Class which was a freaking AWESOME show but if you kill off Warrick, I am done with you. I barely like the other CSI programs and if you can do this to a very popular character, cancel a highly rated comedy, there is just no telling where your alliances are. I can no longer trust you to give good television and that is really all I have to say on that subject. I am just sick over this.

Why? Why? Why? This is the original CSI and is the best CSI. (or should I say WAS the best). As soon as Warrick was shot I was on the phone to my kids saying “Oh My G** are you watching CSI Las Vegas, I cannot believe they shot Warrick and he is dead!” Grissom (who I love) is hardly ever there, Sara (who was great on the show) is gone. Instead of letting the show slowly fall into the gutter and lose all of the its faithful watchers why didn’t they just canel it? One of the most popular shows on TV and they are slowly killing it. Why??

Yeah i was shocked like most of you. i was like OMG, but then i did start wondering and picking up on the clues. Nick is still in the cafe. Warrick turned down the radio, and the gun wasnt silenced. and we only know of his Neck wound. we dont know where the second gunshot hit. so im praying he still lives. i love CSI:LV its the only good one.

i’ve just watched this heart-wrenching episode last night. yup, we are way behind you. but anyway, i almost choked on my burger when he was shot. damn it! why must u do that? why are u so mean?! whatever problem he’s facing in his real life is not an excuse for u to kick him out just like that. havent you heard about appreciation? he’s been with you for so long. like others, he was the main attraction that get me glued to my tv everyweek. warrick has been in trouble for the last few episodes. you can always had suspended from duty so that warrick as well as gary can get things right. why cant you do that? urgh i hate you! really feel like kicking your ass!

Before I comment on anything, the S9 episode list on imdb.com has synopsis info that says “Spoilers!” Obviously it may not be true, but whether it is or isn’t, it’s pretty detailed.
Now, I have been reading tons of comments and let me say that the “black guy dies first” tradition does not apply here. The first to die was Holly–even though she didn’t have a big appearance: She was introduced, portrayed personality, was sent to a job and then shot.
It is interesting however, that the man (Warrick) who was allegedly the result of her death, ends up being shot too. Parallel Universe……..
One comment said Warrick should live but be in a coma and I don’t believe that at all. Why would Gary agree to appear in several 60 second shots of him in a hospital bed for who knows how long?
If there is a way for the writers to keep him in (without a coma) that works well enough into the storyline, then I’m all for it. Waking up from a nightmare might work, although I can’t picture anything tying to that.
Otherwise, what’s done is done and fussing won’t change it. If a person was shot through the neck (especially twice) with good accuracy, as it was clearly shown, and remained alive, I would imagine a person might only live mere minutes without immediate medical intervention. Asphyxiation, bleeding into the lungs, not to mention possible nerve damage (spinal cord) is hard to come back from.
If it’ll help any, I did have a strange dream of a possible premiere where Warrick does survive after some wierd, miracle surgery work or something and had a big scar running down his neck. How I could possibly dream that is beyond me.
I know Warrick should have seen that coming, or at least been suspicious. How many fully dressed people–especially ranking supervisors just happen to stroll down deserted alleys and stick there head through an open car window just to pay a compliment?
