The king of spoilers, Michael Ausiello from TVGuide.com, gives us a spoiler for CSI: NY.

Ausiello: Would you settle for CSI: NY instead? Because Mac is gettin’ some. I hear that the sexy, professional, mid-thirties female who works in the mayor’s office that is joining the cast will be getting all up under Gary Sinise’s microscope, if you knowhutimsayin!

Gah… not another Mac Taylor love interest. It’s getting old.
Generally speaking, I like Mac, but he’s had plenty of personal story lines lately (the Clay Dobson fiasco, Peyton, the 333 stalker, even the Shane Casey case focused more on Mac than Hawkes). It would be nice to get some story lines about the severely underused Flack, Hawkes, and Lindsay rather than yet another Mac-centric arc.
FYI, Ausiello has now announced the casting for this role, Jessalyn Gilsig (formerly of Nip/Tuck, Heroes (Claires birth-mom), and Friday Night Lights).
