No one in their right mind should honestly pick Horatio. He’s a decent character, but the acting just makes the character one tone.

Grissom all the way. Forget Horatio - he is a sanctimounous (sp?) blowhead.

You guys serious about picking Grissom? Gosh, he is such a ridiculous character! Mac and Horatio all the way - and Scott, i think David Caruso does an awesome work with Horatio Caine. He’s unique. Grissom might be different, maybe even unique (thinking of his obsession with bugs), but not in a postive way according to me…
Still interesting to hear you guys’ opinions! :)

Perhaps you might consider spending more time learning to spell and less time watching shows you don’t understand.
Grissom is “what you see is what you get” with no range. Caine is a unique character created by Caruso, heads above the other two.

Caruso has created a character removed from self; Petersen and Sinise have acted a role not unlike themselves. It doesn’t take much imagination to figure who has the more difficult task.

Mac Taylor, definitely.
Grissom works well as a science geek, but he never fit the leader role.
Horiatio is a caricature.

I have to say that it’s Gary Sinise’s portrayal of Mac that seems the most realistic. He’s confident without being extremely cocky, and unlike the others, he’s proven to be wrong more than once. He’s not flawless or smug in his ability to be right, and there’s a humility to his performance that I don’t see in the others. That is not to say that the other two actors, or for that matter, their shows are not entertaining, but they are just not for me as convincing as his is.

OMG!! Grissom is a WUBBISH leader!! He’s not very asertive is he? It’s between Horatio and Mac…. Mac. Definitely Mac. He’s a really good leader, smart and has that little air about him that makes him still attractive. Grissom is a pathetic jellyfish. (Very fitting animal for him, seeing as he has no backbone) :->

I absolutely hate Grissom. He’s a useless leader. I like Horatio but he’s not very emotional. It’sprobably Mac I would go for.

I like all of them but i would have to say that Horatio is my favorite because he not like the other two. he has his own way of doing things and he doesnt care what others think about his actions. and at the end of the day they all solve the cases so it doesnt realy matter who is better.

All of the actors are really good. Being a police officer and a social worker, I can relate to Horatio. David shows a tender side but is professional as Miami’s top cop. He really captivates a huge population and it shows in the ratings. He is the man of the hour. He’s a great actor.
