Question: What’s the latest on William Petersen’s expiring CSI contract?— Jason
Ausiello: My CSI spy tells me that showrunner Carol Mendelsohn’s recent decision to re-sign for four more years should go a long way in getting Petersen to stick around. “She’s been with the show from the start,” says my mole, “and that continuity and stability is important to him.”

I hope the rumor of WP resigning, is true. They are all stars in thier own right, but the first name you see is his, so lets all keep our fingers crossed, and hope Jorja comes back to the fold too.
I understand that he want’s to move on after so long on one show, but I really hope William Petersen does come back to the show, at least for a little while longer. Grissom is my favorite character on the show and it just wouldn’t be the same without him.
