Jorja Fox’s Staying on CSI Is "Complicated"

According to TV Guide’s maestro of small screen scoop, he’s been sworn to secrecy regarding Jorja Fox’s character, Sara Sidle, remaining on the show. What he does say is:

Sorry, but I’ve been sworn to secrecy. What I can say is that the answer is complicated.

This is going to be one great opening season. I can tell you that much!

    Hi,

    I’m looking forward to see this new season.
    But there in France we have not watched yet the… 7th season!!! (well, I know some plots thanks the web).
    Concerning this season 8 and Jorja, I have my own idea about the truth: one part of the plot of the first episode, if Jorja will stay.
    I admit, I’ve published two novels, so I have some… imagination…

    Please, forgive my English. As I said, I live in France.

    And if the CSI actors come there, congratulations to all of you! You’re great!!!

    So…. She lives but the fallout from the GSR reveal means she’s transfered to days/fired and we only have to see her every 3 or 4 episodes? Seriously, [i]if[/i] she lives, there better be some major fall out for Grissom and Sara. Glossing over that and having the team think it’s great would just be asinine.

    Thanks Kim for your kind comment!
    I live outside the USA so I may not read magazines and newspapers as I want to do. Besides, I have too many work to go on the web each time I want.
    Here is my personal idea.
    Often, before the end of the season, we hear some news about the next season and the characters. This actor wanted to give up, so his character leaves the show by a way (let see for ER for example). Before seeing one season, I knew A. Edwards, G. Clooney, J. Margulies, G. Visjnic leave the show. The fans were deceived, but the show go on with other casts.
    Concerning CSI… There were no questions about the contracts of the different main actors. So they’ll be in the Season 8th (just wait for Jorja!). However, what about the suspense? Everyone is there. OK. No suspense.
    The clifhanger (I heard by the web!) is awful! The suspense is concentrated on Sara. Will she live? Yes? Not?
    The answer? Clear, if Jorja signed for the season, of course, Sara will live. Farewell, the suspense written by the scenarists. Why did they write a wonderful episod with such a suspense, if everyone knows Jorja will be surely in the season 8. Stupid!
    The only way to maintain suspense is to make believe Jorja leaves the show at 80%. So the suspense is totally. What a surprise?
    I bet everyone will be at the front of his tv to know the truth. Sara lives? dies?
    And about the comments said by someone of the production concerning the story love between Gil and Sara, he said “may”…
    May says anything… No or yes…
    If I well understood, nobody knows about their story. The team (Nick, Cath, Warrick, Greg) discovered the truth only in the last episode.
    So now, it would be great to know how it happens with this truth and everyone. What will they react, think every day? Morever Gil is the boss.
    If I were a scenarist for CSI, my story love between Gil and Sara wouldn’t really (!) begin at the end of season 6, “live” only in secret during season 7 and to die at the first episode of season 8.
    It would have been stupid, and with no sense, NO psychology, no interest for human and professional relationsships.

    You know. We know nothing at all there in France and DIDN’T see the first episod of season 8. But some newspapers have already written Jorja was hired.
    I think the different comments from the production are VERY ambigous… Just the necessary to maintain THIS suspense!
    We know everyone will watch another season of CSI. It’s a great show with wonderful actors, stories and technicians.
    However, to maintain the suspense about Sara/Jorja is the best way so that people will watch their tv for the first episod… Thanks for the audience (audimat in French), the advertising paid a lot by firms…….. In other words, hello Money…:)

    Well, there were my ideas. Once again, forgive me for my English. It’s not easy to explain clearly.

    This Is Just My Opinion But I Think They Are Dragging Jorja Fox’s Contract Dispute Out To Keep People Guessing Wether Sara Will Or Will Not Live. For All We Know They Could Have Sorted The Contract Out Ages Ago.

    But Think If Sara Dies, How Will Grissom Cope? He Says In The Season 7 Finale That She Is The Only Person He Ever Loved. If They Take Her Away He Will Probably Have A Major Breakdown As A Character. Then The Whole Team Will Fall Apart.

    As I Said This Is Just My Personal Opinion

    I agree with you. If Sara dies Grissom will definitely be headed for a huge emotional breakdown. They should keep her on there. If she lives, Grissom is happy and the team won’t be torn apart.

    And If They Dont Reveal The Fate Of Sara Then They Will Draw In More Viewers And Make More Money. But If They Kill Sara Off Lets Just Say That They Will Be Losing Alot Of Viewers.

    And If Grissom Has An Emotional Breakdown Who Will Lead The Team The Show Will Be Ruined.

    We, the fans make this series so damn popular and have been waiting for GSR so loooog! I mean think about it, it would be an great love story, GRISSOM AND SARA NEEDS THIS, DON`T SPOIL IT! IT`S UP TO YOU CBS, YOU WANNA KEEP EARN MONEY,( THE ONLY THING YOU PEOPLE CARE ABOUT), THE KEEP SARA SIDLE.
    AND GRISSOM AND SARA BETTER BE TOGETHER!!!
    CAUSE IF YOU TURN THE OTHER WAY, SO HAVE CSI.
    CSI WOULD SUCK IF SARA DIED, KILL CATHRINE OR SOMEONE OF WARRICK, NICK OR GREG.
    EVEN CARToons WOULD BE BETTER…

    Hi,

    Why kill someone?
    There is already so violence in the world!
    It would be great to get a tvshow with happy end for the last season.
    Let Nick, Warrick, Cath, Greg, or Jim or Doc alive!!
    And of course Gil and Sara!
    Possible spoilers:
    Following I read on the net, I’m crazy or maybe there will be a spin-off or season 9 with Nick as the leader of the lab, or department?
    I would like so much to talk with each actor to know what he/she would like to do for his/her own career.
    In anyways, I’ll keep on an eye on each actor, whatever happens… They are great!!!!

    dennis, you’re too harsh. i love catherine, she’s my favorite character, tied with grissom. stop acting like a dumb prick. i think the cbs should have gil and sara have a huge breakup, and gil finally realizes that catherine is the one for him. GRILLOWS 4EVA!!!

    i am sooo glad sara is gone. she and grissom didn’t have any chemistry. they were too much alike. thats why it was bad. now that she is gone i think it will be better. the show seemed to revolve around their love life.
