The Leading Men of CSI - Which Would You Choose?
I just ran across this tidbit on Parade.com.
Q. How did readers react to your opinion that CSI: Miami’s David Caruso is a better actor than CSI’s William Petersen? —Donna Staser, Floyds Knobs, Ind.
A. By a margin of 20 to 1, they disagreed. Typical comments: “You must be kidding.” And, “If William Petersen left CSI, I’d quit watching it.”
This leads me to our next site poll. Only I’m adding Gary Sinise to the mix to round it out.
Which of the three CSI leading men do you think is the best actor?

William Petersen is a phenomenal actor. Whether he’s playing Gil Grissom on TV or playing a Irish drunk in A Dublin Christmas Carol on stage, he has this intensity and truthfulness in his acting that transcends the character and makes you believe that he IS that person.

I chose Gary Sinise/Mac Taylor, just because I like him best. He’s a wonderful actor. William Petersen/Gil Grissom is a close second, and I don’t like Horatio Caine. I like David Caruso as an actor, though, Horatio has just too much smart comments and sunglasses action

I chose Gary sinise he my favite actor . I growin up which his movie . sinise is hart and sole in to his acting. He also good lock too.

haha. horatio makes me laugh. he has this whole head tilting and hips on hands thing when he’s talking to people on screen. its kinda scary. my friends and i always laugh everytime we watch miami. william petersen is an awesome actor. have you seen his movies?? and he’s HOT!!

Sinie is perhaps the best actor, but Caruso has the strongest personality, he’s fantastic playing horatio Caine

Of the three leads, Caruso is the strongest, BY FAR. His portrayal of Horatio (with all the affectations) is still head n shoulders above both Sinise and Petersen.
I like Sinise but he’s the same in every role he plays. I prefer Grissom role to any of Petersen’s prior performances, although still inferior to Caruso.
If in doubt, compare Caruso as John Kelly to Caruso as Horatio Caine. Two entirely different characters.
