Ohio Missing Woman Case

by Jason on June 25th, 2007

Not sure if you’ve been following the case of the missing, pregnant woman in Ohio that was recently found in a field in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Reading through the news articles it sounds like a plot line taken right out of an episode of CSI.

Davis, 26, of Lake Township near Canton, was reported missing after her mother found her grandson home alone, with bedroom furniture toppled and bleach spilled on the floor. The boy, Blake, gave investigators some of their first clues, saying: “Mommy was crying. Mommy broke the table. Mommy’s in rug.”

and this happening back at the lab

Davis’ body was found nine days after authorities believe she was killed. Determining the cause of death will take weeks because of advanced decomposition, the medical examiner’s office said Monday. The office will test the paternity of the fetus, and conduct toxicology and DNA tests and skeletal analyses.

Further reading in this article even suggests some star power for special appearances on the show as the alleged killer had previous run-ins with another ex-girlfriend that had known ex-NBA player Shawn “The Rainman” Kemp.

Our hearts go out to the family of Jessie Davis. It’s sad that someone that’s been put in the position to “serve and protect” can commit a crime like this. If he is found guilty, he should be punished to the full extent of the law.

Very sad case indeed. I was hoping it would turn out differently and not be another Laci Peterson case. At least they found her body much sooner than Laci’s.

As a cop, you’d think this guy would know he would be the #1 suspect. Anytime a woman disappears, the husband/boyfriend is the odds on favorite suspect. He must not be that smart.

Can you imagine the psychological damage to the 2 year old son?

    Very sad indeed.

Having seen some reports on his record in the Police, I’m surprised that they kept him on.

Guess he thought that he would outsmart everyone as he was a policeman. That if anything turned up he could turn it away from himself.

If he is guilty, I hope they throw the book at him.
