Wii’ve Got CSI!

April 9, 2007 by Jason

If you’re one of the folks that have a new Nintendo Wii in your posession, and you like CSI, then I’ve got some news for you. There will be a new game CSI:Hard Evidence available on the Wii in the near future.

But what can we expect from the Wii version of the game? As you’d expect from any “CSI” television show, atmospheric crime scenes much like in the series will be presented to gamers, who will then have to solve each crime through forensic reconstruction and detective work. Hard Evidence will now include improved evidence gathering, an all-new garage lab used for analyzing evidence as large as boats and cars, and some lab minigames. With all these new features plus more areas to explore in the game, players will undoubtedly have longer play experiences.

In the past, this game has only been released on the PC platform, so the Wii will be the first console to have a CSI game available for users. The PC version of the game will be released in September. The article speculates that we should be able to expect the Wii console version around the same time.

Sounds like it may be interesting, especially with the graphics capabilities of new consoles. I wonder if it will have a similar playability to games like Myst, where you’re just dropped into this virtual world and you’ve got to figure it out.
