CSI: Contest and Giveway - Reader Episode Recap of “Nailed”

by Jason on March 8th, 2007

Awhile back I offered the opportunity for someone to win a book titled, “Investigating CSI: An Unauthorized Look Inside the Crime Labs of Las Vegas, Miami, and New York” written by Donn Cortez published by BenBella Books and distributed by Independent Publishers Group.

We have a winner from that little contest although they didn’t publish their review on their own site, they emailed it to me instead. Since I didn’t have any other entries, looks like they’re the winner and I’ll be contacting them to get them their copy of the book.

Here’s Deborah’s review of the CSI:Miami episode “Nailed”. Interesting her pick of episode because it was one of my first episodes I watched of CSI:Miami that I liked since blogging for CSI:Fanatic.

Hi, I’m Deborah, the CSI Miami episode that I remember the most is Nailed.

The team investigates the murder of a woman who was shot 4 times with a nail gun in the upper chest and the neck. She has brown hair and was divorcing from her husband. She was found in the bedroom of her almost ex-husband. The house is going under construction so there are no walls but only plastic and paper. The team finds a nail gun next to the victim but they find out that the scratch on the nail penetrated when the nail is fired doesn’t match the nails in the victim. They question the husbands fiancee and find out that the victim didn’t like the fiancee. She burned her clothes and threw things at the house. She yelled and screamed.

The son plays baseball. He’s is about 15 years old. He has blonde hair. He is found at the crime scene looking at the pool of his mothers’ blood. He goes with Horatio. They question the husband’s fiancee and him. Also they question the son because the husband claims to be at his son’s baseball game at the time of the attack. The son says that he left early, as usual. So right now the husband is the prime suspect. Then they find a print that leads them to the guy in front of the construction. He admits to being payed by the wife to kill her husband. But when he shows up she wants him to kill her. She wants her husband to go to jail for murdering her. But he yells at her that she’s crazy and leaves. So he says when they question him.

When Delko doesn’t pick up his cell Ryan Wolf gets assigned to look at the trailer of the head construction worker. He gets out his gun and yells that it’s the Miami Dade Police. He sees a closet open and opens it tentatively but only a few poles come out. Then he sees another door and goes to that. He steps over the poles and walks over. He opens the door and a hand is pointing a nail gun at him. He gets shot near the right eye right by his nose. He falls on the floor and calls Delko. Eric is now in his truck and hears Ryan. He speeds over to the trailer. His gun raised. His pure black hair is gleaming in the sun. He walks in to the trailer and sees Ryan lying on the floor. Screaming in pain. The officer next to him asks if he should call the ambulance but Delko says no. He taked Ryan into his hummer and speeds for the hospital with his siren on.

While in the hummer Delko contacts the hospital of the emergency. When they get there the nurses put Ryan on a stretcher and race him to a room. Delko asks if he can go to but the nurses say no. Horatio is there at the hospital and he tells Eric to go back to the lab, he does and investigates the nailgun. He manages to pull a print off of it. After that Calliegh takes the nailgun into firearms and finds out that this is the nailgun used to kill the victim.

Back at the hospital Alexx Woods is with Ryan. Alexx does the autopsies and finds out what kills people. She has brown skin and dark brown hair. She is wearing red lipstick. Ryan tells her that she doesn’t have to be there but Alexx tells him otherwise. The doctor comes in and quickly pulls the nail out. He puts a bandage on the wound and Ryan complains that it still feels like its in there. When Ryan gets out of the hospital Eric Delko is there looking out a window. When he sees Ryan with his puffy, purple eye he immediately apoligies’s for not being at work. He drives Ryan home.

Meanwhile. Calleigh is questioning the husbands fiancee. She explains that her fingerprint was found on the nailgun and the fiancee confesses to Calliegh on shooting Ryan with the nailgun. She explains that she had found it in her sons drawer while cleaning his laundery and says she only wanted to protect her son. Finally they question the son. He admits to seeing his mother argue with the construction worker. He thinks that they are talking about killing his father so when the construction worker left the son pulls out the nailgun and confronts his mother. She sees her opportunity so she says that since she can’t kill her husband she told the son to shoot her and he did. When Calliegh heard this she told the son that his mother had wanted to die. He looked at her sadly. Calliegh had him handcuffed. Case closed.

Congratulations Deborah! Thanks for the review of “Nailed”. I’ll be contacting you to get your address for sending you a copy of the book.
