Episode Recap: “Broken Home” on CSI:Miami

Here’s the quick recap of the episode from TV.com:

The CSIs investigate when the parents of a baby sitter in an upscale neighborhood are murdered. As the team sorts through the neighbors’ secrets and lies, they find an unexpected love triangle as a motive for murder. Meanwhile, a key piece of evidence found at the crime scene leads Horatio to expose a doctor with some dirty secrets of his own.

First things first, what the heck is Eric doing back already? When I saw him in the episode I thought last night’s episode was probably a repeat. But it wasn’t! Did I miss something? Somebody please explain to me what they’re thinking.

The plotline for this episode starts off like a scene from the movie Scream. Teenager sitting on the couch scared, and gets a spooky phone call. Ends up her parents are killed and she’s dating a kid that her parents didn’t like, and who when called by the police hangs up and then runs from them. [Note to Teenagers: Not a good idea]

Two sets of neighbors battling with each other and stealing things from houses that host the “party of the week” or something for the social elite. Now we’ve got a doctor that’s killing his patients and relieves them of their valuables before their family gets the chance?

Okay team, decide what you think. First they’re talking to Eric about him coming back to soon. Now when he breaks the case and determines himself to have come back too soon, Calleigh says they can’t make it without him. I believe you can make it a few episode (a.k.a. 3-4 weeks), so give him a break.

Ummm, yeah, okay. Love triangle between the jerky kid and the mom and daughter. The doctor has ended up killing people and stealing from them, which is what he was doing when he left trace evidence at the babysitter’s house.

And I was just starting to like the CSI:Miami franchise, they took a step backward on this episode.
