Episode Recap: Leaving Las Vegas

This was a great episode, even if it hadn’t been for all the lead-up and expectation of Gil Grissom leaving. Here’s a quick recap courtesy of iWon TV

Although his leaving wasn’t hidden in the episode by any means, or left to the end, it didn’t overshadow things at all. There was basically a little scene between him and each of the key characters. Nick Stokes doesn’t think he’s coming back and makes a fool out of himself. Catherine was upset that he didn’t let her know she was going to be in charge sooner. Sara Sidle’s character, played by Jorja Fox, was her normal, withdrawn, un-emotional self. She just said she would talk to him when he got back. Grissom then started to walk closer to Sara to say something, but then just said he would miss her. WHAT IS THE DEAL BETWEEN THESE TWO!?!
The main plotline for this episode was a single murder that Catherine testified against someone that stabbed their mother. He was found not guilty and let go, but Catherine didn’t let it rest and tracked down the location of another murder that occurred within a 350 mile radius of a mother and her daughter. This was due to two unidentified blood samples on the murder weapon.
She was originally drawn to a town where a murder did occur of a mother and her daughter and was unsolved. It turns out this wasn’t related, but there was another murder of a mother and daughter the following day and the convicted person ended up being coerced into his confession.
In case you didn’t see the episode yet, I won’t give you all the details as it was a really great episode as usual (I’m still waiting on getting that feeling after watching a CSI:Miami episode). For those of you that think Marg Helgenberger is a hottie, she definitely teases us with her method for getting the wrongly confessed guy in prison to answer questions.

How about that ending. Ugh! I can’t wait to see the next episode. Wonder when its on as there were no previews for it.
