CSI: Miami One-Liners
I’ve got to admit, I really do not enjoy CSI:Miami. I think it’s purely because of David Caruso and his character. I just think he comes across as an idiot. I’m amazed at the difference in cast between CSI:Miami and the other two series. Grisson almost always says something intelligent and witty to start off the episode, Gary Sinise isn’t quite as good, but not too bad. David Caruso is like that one-guy we went to school with that tried to be funny, but should stop trying and go back to work doing whatever it was he was doing before he tried to be funny.
Michael Slezak has alerted me that there are others who feel the same was I do about David Caruso and his character and one-liners. In fact, at least one other as put together some video clips that highlight the idiocy of Caruso’s comments. Check-it-out below.
Almost as entertaining as the video above, are the comments on Michael Slezak’s original post, Revel in… the power of… ‘CSI: Miami’

Sure some of the lines are a little weak and trite. For the most part though, he’s trying to make a point. Somewhat similar to the style Jerry Orbach’s character has in Law and Order. I actually quite ejoy those. But I guess to each their own.

Yeah! I sorta like his lines. He’s says them seriously and that’s wat matters. After all he has a script so it’s the writers fault or the producer. I like his lines.

I agree. To each his own. Horatio Cane (not Crane) is a very compassionate and believable character. Caruso is doing a great job. All of the CSI shows are awesome. Why must everyone use websites to bash others? I watched your clips. I also saw the episodes they came from and they are very undestandable comments when they are in the right context. Oh well. Everyone has an opinion and mine is no better or worse than yours. My search for a CSI Miami fan club brought me to this site. Big mistake.

Laura, trust me when I say this site is full of readers that love the CSI:Miami franchise. The more I watch episodes of CSI:Miami, the more I’m starting to connect with the cast and enjoy. I think my personal preference to not like David Caruso is baggage of my opinions of him in other silver screen roles and the characters he played in them as well. I do agree that David’s character does come across as very compassionate.

Jason, your comment of David Caruso, and his character as coming across as an idiot, sounds like a little jealousy. What last tv program or movie did you star, or even have a small role in? David Caruso is a down to earth person who has the artistic ability to make himself shine. Violet

Violet, it has nothing to do with jealousy. It has to do with comparing him to other actors that I think do a much better job of acting. I will admit that his character and David Caruso himself have grown on me, but he’s by far not my favorite actor in the series.
