Grey’s Anatomy Edged Out CSI

by Milo Riano on September 29th, 2006

Grey’s Anatomy which moved from Sundays to Thursday has edged out CSI during their head to head match up with a total of 25.4 million viewers while CSI was close behind at 22.6 million viewers.

Grey’s Anatomy aired a very strong premiere with their medical drama and soap opera showing, while CSI did not show any new interesting murder case and was confident that John Mayer would do the job. Apparently they were wrong but having a close viewership with Grey’s Anatomy despite their boring showing still proves how strong CSI is.

They judged their opponents lightly while Grey’s came in strong with what the audience expects from them. It could also be a case of something new alongside CSI which lured the audience, but either way, CSI knows they are in for a strong battle all season round.
